| Question about controlling heroes your way :) |
|

Love the heroes, only had played prophecies ^^
But some things really bugged me when heroes attacked and I wondered if there are settings for it
1) A hero always attacks your target. Thats frustrating if ya want to let your warrior atk a caster and you deal with the rest. Can I turn off so that my heroes dont run like madmens afther every target I point at ? Or any other solution ? Can my heroes just choose a target themselfs when one is near ?
2) Is there a keybinding so that 1 heroes ( all heroes ? ) atk 1 mob and keep atking that mob till its dead ?

1) turn all monk heroes to offline. For melee if you want to concentrate on another target, open the hero skill control panel and click on the enemy then there's a target sign in the panel and if you click on that it'll lock that target as the heroes target. Say if you wanna kill a monk but you want koss to kill a ele just click on the target button in his control panel and he concentrates on the ele.
2) i don't think there is a universal button for attacking mobs. Usually people pick a target, then just move on when its dead so on so forth.
hope some of that made sense
quit gw for good. end of story.

Just a few tips on hero controlling:
- Set monks to Aviod Combat (the white dove icon on their skilbar) at all times. If they are set to Guard or attack; their healing will be rubbish and they are more likely to die.
- Set melee characters on guard that way they wont aggro everything in sight.
- Keep an eye on your monks energy level.
- Disable rez chants on monks and use initially only the rezsigs of your henchemen or the chants/spells of other spelcasting heros (ele/necro/mesmer). You dont want your monk to start rezzing in the middle of battle.
Everyone has his/hers own preffs; but these are generally things that make life much easier :)

Thx all for the help ;)
P.s. If a monk is set to avoid combat and he has mesmer skill to drain energy, will they still use them ?

Dont know; but i always use inspired hex and set their inspiration to at least 6; that makes it a free hexremoval skill :)
