Is there some special trick to the second level of this dungeon? Cause that boss owned me horribly, i'm going to try with 2 SF nukers tomorrow but i dont know if i'll have the healing power to keep up. If you have any tips please let me in, also i heard something about a reward for finishing the dungeon, if so could someone ellaborate please? Thank you

I went into this dungeon unprepared and still manaaged to clear the boss with a generous death penalty spread thru out my party. I got a gold r9/tac inscribable Tall Shield for all my troubles :P
The party I brought along was:2 tanks (Devona & Myself),
2 monks (Dunkoro HB & Mhenlo), 2 Ele's (Zhed SF & Herta Earth),
2 Necros (Olias MM & Eve BiP)... The good thing is that my party was res'd nearby so I only had to run back to finish the job.
But after actually going thru the dungeon, an MM is totally useless. The boss can't run very far since he's confined to the altar area so I would suggest bringing some form of interrupt and perhaps another nuker (SF, Sandstorm, or SH) or even an Earth Warder with Ward Against Elements. The only problem I really had was keeping up healing with Dunkoro and the constant reapplied Environment Effect and his Water AoE's.
Should be much easier if partied with a group consisting of real people :D

have a ranger or mesmer come as a interupt. HE was easy when m and a friend beat him. We did it with hero's. 1 mm, 1 generic war, 1 WoH, 2 Sf, 1 prot, 1 interupt (me) and him being a spirit spammer. ME and him seemed to have acumilated dp, though both mine and his hero's had 10% moral boost.
P.S. for the mm i brought my low lvl pet which i let die on purpose for the job of mm raising

Yeah, basically, like with every powerful elementalist boss, you just need a ton of interrupts to shut him down. I tried this yesterday with a friend and we couldn't kill him no matter how many times we ressed nearby and attacked again. So today we brought along a Broadhead Arrow ranger, and I went as a hammer warrior with dwarven battle stance. It worked great, he was pretty easy. And for rewards, a chest spawns from which a random item or rare material spawns. Most of us got golds, one of us got an onyx gemstone.

Yeah thats how I did it. I was a moebius sin so he got NOTHING out. And most of the time he just tried to attack me so my party was safe. This is one of the ezier dongeons IMO. Very quick dongeon. I can do it in about 25 minutes which for a dongeon is good.

i wonder if any BHA ranger noticed that - it says straight 20 or 21 seconds of daze, and yet he recovers from it before BHA is fully recharged (that means about 10 or 12 seconds of daze actually)
anyways first time i had a mm which was quite a mistake, also hench healers don't do much good here. later it was like walk in the park, one of fastest dungeons (excluding the boss which i find more annoying than kin)

has no-one thought of a mesmer?
Powerblock, CoF and powerspike as interrupts renders any spallcasting boss completely useless. If you are brave take blackout as well ;p And of course there is Shame :)
If your not comfy with interrupting cast Arcane Conundrum to slow down his spells.
Mesmers FTW! ;p

Because conditions expire 50% faster on Bosses, so you are right, instead of 20 seconds it only lasted 10.

that'd mean there is another category of monsters that posess Natural Resistance (easiest to check with wastrel's worry). and that in EoTN bosses have all special 'up's' (natural resist + 2x dmg)

Well, with 2 warriors (one myself and a Hero), 2 healing monks (Hero and hench), 2 fire ele (one Hero and hench), 1 prot monk (hench), and 1 interrupt ranger (hench) I had no problem killing the monster.

Yeah, I took like 1.5 hours doing the dungeon, then couldn't beat the boss! Meh. I was on 60% after a few seconds once I got there, didn't have any interrupts... and he spews out so much area damage with the stupid skill of his, that when my monks were healing, they all got taken down in one...
NB MEsmers FTW! That way if he did get out a spell, he'd take like 120 damage straight... and any attacks = 35 dmg, + ss = 70 dmg, + that health stealing one = c. 110 dmg per attack...

When I did this dungeon the 1st time I went with a h/h party. SF isn't the best here as many of the foes use Frigid armor so I used 2 sh eles or 2 dual attunement eles with Ogden as a heal/prot hybrid (lod+prot spirit are important). I also used cynn, the 2 monks and the ranger henchie. I was an eviscerate warrior. The dungeon is pretty quick-bout 15/20 mins. At the boss I had ogden maintain prot spirit on me whilst the ranger shut him down with bha. With my entire party attacking him went down pretty fast.

How did you make sure that he used Prot spirit on you? My prot monks always cast it on themselves whenever I tell them to cast it for the first time, then they cast on anyone else afterwards... irritating when you're trying to to dash in protected heh

my ocmp didnt get back till friday evening so i got to check out the bosses skills, so brought an BHA ranger.
they didnt tell you anything else bout level cept monsters, so the door thng took me a small bit as i didnt click over everything on map. got it done in 45min:), did it 2 more times and have avg of aroudn 33min.
not any good drops tho:(

Yah, like kielus says, same thing for bonds, BR etc, you need ot select the person you want to be targeted by the action performed by the hero before selecting the action. |

yeah the first time i went in there un prepaird for the bossi had monk hero mm hero acoylote souske as SF hero brought 2 monk healer henchmen eve and talon, and i got fedup with my dp and one hit kils from him,So then i was looking for a grp got hte best grp i could find most didnt get this far in it but we got to him and well teh interupter shut him down enuff that we cold kill him didn't get a nythig good outof chest i diddn't have lockpicks so i screwd my self by bringing any.But I dont buy them intill I rarely want to spend the money for them.
