| What would you think of this build? |
|
|
|
I have an elementalist who is ready to choose upon a secondary profession.
I wasn't thinking about that so much when I created it, but now I'm wondering what hasn't really been explored yet.
I realized that I don't see many Elementalist/Paragons. So, I'm thinking of a possible future build for it. GWFreaks comes so much in handy =]
Does anyone have some tips about what would make a good E/P?
Or, if that just seems too out-there and contradictory, would you suggest something else? I'd prefer not to do something you see everyone else use. An E/D isn't too common, so things like such, etc.
Thank you

in the 1v1 norn torny i've seen quite a few of the ele's with derv using mystic regen. Looked quite impressiver as their builds semmed to have 2-3 enchantments on them. Made them a lot harder to kill

Wait, you're character name is Hella Deadly Shadow?!
OMG! I know this is rediculous, but you're on my friends list.
Sadly, I don't know why or how we met, but apparently it merited a list add :P
That's too funny...
I've been working on a build on GWFreaks recently, trying to balance out party support and at least moderate damage dealing. I've come upon two pretty neat ideas so far.
One is to use echos and a re-applying chant to keep oneself and the party functioning while using low-energy spam skills to an extremely effective end (burning and blinding an enemy, etc.)
the second is to simply use an elementalist's high energy storage to solely support the party. it can work wonders on a losing group. Restoring practically everyone's health and energy at the cost of the elementalist. This also makes the elementalist somewhat of a secret weapon , like ele/mo!

that would be awesome.
I hadn't tried to incorporate paragon skills into the attack plan.
I have work to do then!
This could get very good very fast.
Think Spear mastery could offer anything?
Bleh, I doubt it.
How about Paragon +damage skills (i forget hte name, but it offers +34 damage if the target foe is above 50% HP), and then some paragon crippling on top of that nuke? Or instead of nuking you could focus on one target with some simpler, more precise spells such as air magic.

-barbed spear
-merciless spear
-mighty throw
-disrupting throw
-glyph of restoration
-Thunderclap -elite-
-conjure lighting
altho this wud be ahrd to maintain energy with thunderclap it shud be used only on large packs or groups tightly packed. since thunderclap and disrupting throw r the only skills that require energy while fighting u have a large supply of energy at ur disposal. wud be a handy build tho :P

Personally I think P/E would be a better choice.
If only "They Are On Fire!" wasn't leadership you could make and ele with Mark of Rodgort to give your party a major damage reduction.
Also Glowing Signet would be nice, but I think it's leadership also.

If you would use Mark of Rodgort + Fireball would be much more effective then with only Spearattack, which usually target one foe.
But beside that, you're on to somethin'.
GuildWiki say's:

* This profession combination has little benefit. |
Never mind, totally forgot Leadership is primairy.

Well, the site may say that, but I was hoping you guys could help me come up with something useful.
Break the trend, y'know? :P
okay, maybe I won't try out the Ele/Para...
But I don't wanna do something CLICHED like an Ele/Me.
Something out of the ordinary...yet useful.
Maybe Ele/D while using Mystic Regen will come in handy?
I'm sure I could also find something else with that...
But please, I'm looking for an ELEMENTALIST SECONDARY (so i don't want to hear "well if you switched it it'd be better), I'm already going to use my level 20 elementalist, I just need a secondary profession. Like I said, something out of the norm.
Thanks.[/QUOTE]

Okay, how about this:
Fire Magic 12+3+1
Energy Storage 9+1
Command 9
1. Mind Blast
2. Fireball
3. Meteor
4. Bed of Coals
5. "Fall Back!"
6. "Stand Your Grond!"
7. Fire Attunement
8. Rez Signet/Sunspear Signet
"Fall Back!" is used when in danger and you need to get out of it.
"Stand Your Ground!" for when target of an enemy to enable you to at least finish that spell with to much damage received.
Meteor and BoC you can use in combo.
Mind Blast is for Energy Management.
Fireball mostly damage.
This is just somethin' quick, it's probably not that good. BUT, you can easily play around with it and perhaps find a better use for it in Earth or Water Magic.

hmm just some quick thinking:
Maybe u can use some wards combined with paragon shouts to support the party u are in. u can also take eruption(earth magic) to blind some annoying melee hitters or mealstrom(water magic)+ a skill that slows them down and keep them in mealstrom to prevent casters...
dont know if u can use this but it was just some quick thinking...maybe i can think of more and then i will add that ^^
