Anyone have any tips for doing the Frost Gate mission in Hard Mode? The bonus is killing me, litterally.
There are 4 Dolyak Riders [monks] and getting them to seperate is rare. One time I got them into two groups of two and put my hero's on one and I put the pressure on the other, only to have the warriors kill us.

Sounds like you need people that can zap energy or have a necromancer use that hex to prevent spells casted on allies.
If you have hero's try testing Norgu, what ever that mesmers name is.
Made for another forum I go on, Just felt the need to do something with this sig.

Skills that own monks:
Mesmer:
Shame
Backfire
Necromancer
Mark of Subversion
Spoil Victor
Monk
Scourge Healing
Scourge Enchantments
Especially the scourges, combine them with daze and/or interupts and maybe stick in a couple of meteor showers and stuff should go down pretty quickly.
Good luck

hmm...it shouldn't be too difficult to pull 1 or 2 with flat/long bow
what u can try tho when they bunch up together is:
ranger hero with broadhead arrow+epidemic and ele(or 2) with meteor shower, works like a charm :)

I usually take Zhed with Ward against Harm & Maelstrom for stuff like this. Stand in the ward to help negate some damage and keep Maelstrom locked until the Dolyaks are nicely grouped.
Have Zhed target a Dolyak, unlock Maelstrom and then hammer 1 if not 2 into the ground before it finishes. Rinse & Repeat.
I also equip Zhed with Blinds & Slowdowns, helps for tough mobs and works great on bosses.

Yes, the 4 Dolyaks are the hardest part of that mission. In addition to what has already been said, I'd like to add the following things:
There's a decent turn in the path around its deepest point. You can flag a tank there and do a wall pull. If properly executed, the entire mob will pack into one spot in front of the tank (the Dolyaks try to go round the tank clockwise but if the tank is close enough to the ledge they cannot get past - the melee monsters try to get straight to your casters but if that straight line goes between the tank and the ledge they get trapped as well). A MM with Bone Horrors (not Fiends!) will also be very helpful in setting up the road block.
BHA + Epidemic and Meteor Shower are helpful but you shouldn't forget enchantment removal either. Have a D/X or X/D tank with Rend Enchantment and at least one necro or mesmer disenchantment skill among the casters and the Dolyaks shouldn't be a big problem.
