Ingame Inf for sale Spamming.

I don't know if this thread has been posted yet, but if so then it calls for an update, I usually play in the evenings and late nights (PST) and I have been regularly getting Tells offering to sell me influence/Infamy in my chat.

Wish the web address I was invited to purchase from could be fined everytime it was sent, bet it would stop then hey?

I report it when it comes in but there seems to be an ever increasing amount of it, is there perhaps a thread on one of the boards about it because I havn't been able to find one and I would like to know what the current status is.

Yeah I know it's people using the free trial codes to post it, but is there not a way to ban an IP or fine a company or again would that be pointless?

Is this sounding like a rant?

EULA rules are continually being broken and yet it goes on day after day, is anyone taking this seriously or am I the only one who's tired of it?

Just do your bit and petition every time it happens. I have, everyone who gets a PM of this nature should. When enough complaints have been filed perhaps something will be done. "The squeaky wheel gets the grease".

NCSoft is at fault. Why? If they truly wanted to take a stance against the selling of ingame money, they could EASILY go to the sites themselves, order some influence, meet the people in game, ban their accounts and any accounts associated with the same credit card, email, etc... and then dispute the charges for the purchase of the influence due to it being a civil law issue in a EULA dispute.

Yes. the people would keep doing it, but they would be sapping these folks of money and accounts left and right. And everytime they ban an account, the well dries up a little more.

NCSoft needs to take a hardcore stance against these people.

i dont know if it actuly does anything to the spamer but i spam back and i did it for like 5 misn last night and then the guy loged off lol it sure felt good even if nothing happened ( but i think they have to look at the screen every time they get a tell so it migh have slowed him down if not it was fun

The one time it happened to me it took about 5 minutes to shut him up. Just petition, ignore and let them handle it.

''I am reporting you for harassment''

Wich i did. And it stopped right then and there.

As annoying as these are I found one I received last as sort of funny, they were trying to sell me CoH "infamy". Before reporting/ignoring I sent them a friendly tell letting them know that as a hero Infamy would be completely useless to me.
