Hmm, what do you consider the best solo class?

I've been wondering about this for a while now honestly. I would automaticaly think Mastermind but I've been hearing idea's that seem to argue against that. I would tend to think that having pets to take hits for you always helps, but apparently some characters don't even care if they get hit, and can easily put out more damage than a Mastermind. Dunno really, the Main boards seem to always be arguing about it.

So what's your opinion on it? I tend to think Mastermind myself, but...

All ATs are soloable...it just depends on the build that you make...IMO.

I have soloed Brutes, Stalkers, Corruptors, MasterMinds...not feeling Dom's enough to even get far with one, but the ones that i have, they were soloed.

It just depends on the build, the person playing and your personal playstyle. But all ATs can be soloed.

True I suppose, I guess I should rephrase the question a bit. Which one do you think is the best for solo'ing all the way to 50? I would still lean towards Mastermind personally, but again I've heard other ideas.

As stated above, any class can be used to solo, but I'd have to side most with Mastermind.

I've almost entirely solo'd my level 33 Mastermind. I run teams on ocassion, but I find that in CoV, teams with up to 8 MMs can produce SO much lag and crowd the map. I think up until level 12 or so, running on a team with a MM is standard, but after that, it was almost written in stone that I could solo easily.

Another good solo choice s Stalker. The infamous Nogame, co-creator of the site, got his Stalker to a dangerously high level in mere weeks of gaming. I think he got into the 30's just stealthing past all the baddies and completing missions.

As tough as Brutes are, I find that when I run mine, I find myself having to stop all the time to regain health or stamina on a constant basis.

Corrupters and Dominators are powerful, but I find it hard to solo for them, lacking that "knockout punch" power that Brutes, Stalkers, and even MMs with all their minions have.

So if I had to rank them for best to solo with, here's how I'd do it:

1) Mastermind
2) Stalker
3) Brute
4) Corrupter
5) Dominator

As I haven't levelled a Dominator up yet (I know, bad me), I'll leave that one out.

I found that my Energy Melee/Electric Armour Brute is BY FAR my most powerful toon, and the fastest and best solo'er I've had so far. Not even my Claws/Regeneration Scrapper can match him.

I've also levelled two Masterminds up to level 27, and I know they get a lot stronger after 32, but whatever. Masterminds are powerful, their survivability is quite high, but they (at least mine) aren't nearly as fast as my Brute.

Stalkers are a bit different. I'm sure if you have a powerful Stalker who doesn't have endurance issues *looks at Energy Aura* with a powerful primary *looks at Spines and Energy Melee* you can solo pretty well. My 50 Stalker (Ninja Blade/Regeneration) spent level 40-50 in Warburg, doing only those missions. It was boring, but it went fast. Stalkers can be good solo'ers, but I personally find them too fragile, to put it that way. After levelling one to 50, I find the Stalker play-style a bit boring, so I really can't be arsed to solo anymore, where I have to do everything myself.

Corruptors can be great. My level 34 Radiation Blast/Kinetics Corruptor was great. He could clear those PvP missions in Warburg in five minutes, which is faster than my Stalker. I think that all Corruptors can solo well, if you play them the right way.

My top 5:

1) Brutes
2) Stalkers
3) Masterminds
4) Corruptors
5) Dominators

Gonna have to go with MM on this one but in all honesty it was only fun getting to 32 real fast, then after that it was summon bubble and press 6 (atk) Even trying to be an active MM I lost alot of intrest in playing them.

I would have to say that Brutes are the funnest (in my opinion) to lvl and when you are having fun you don't even notice or realize how long it takes to lvl and the lvl's seem to go quicker.

Kinda like when i was back in High School boring classes seemed to take forever and there were times i swear the minute hand on the clock was moving backwards. And when i was doing something that i was having fun doing 1-2 hours would pass in what seemed like only a couple of minutes.

1. Masterminds (only they tend to get boring after a bit so it give the appearance of sssssssssllllllllllllloooooooowwwwwwwiiiiinnnnnnggggg down)

2. Brutes

and i dont have that much exp. with the others cause brutes are so damn fun i mean c'mon who doesn't like smashing someones face in--- ok nvm -- ((where are my meds?))

Me and my bro are doing a pro run through leveling on 2 mm's. (him on Mercs/Dark) And were doing really well. We've only had trouble on like 1 mish and it turned out he accidentaly set his rep all they way up, and it was allready a higher mish then us.

So yea, MM's are easiest to solo with. imo (Arguable)

yeah i have to go with everyone as far as lvling really fast with MMs, i "had" a lvl 45 MM and i went solo from when i started in mercy, but stalkers are really good too, lvl 38 stalker, soloed all the time with him...except when my friends are on

5. Dom

that is how i see it, but like everyone said it depends on how u build it...and what sever r u on???

I play on pinnacle. And about doms being #5... I dunno, I did really good on my dom, hes only 11 but.... I guess I got close to dieing sometimes but, he was pretty good. Meh

Oh, I agree with that; Doms are pretty dang cool. They're quite powerful too. But they're squishy and they just don't pack the punch of the other ATs. Corrupters and Dominators work best in teams with other people to take the aggro and do damage while the support/heal/hold.

Heh the only two classes ive really tried to Solo are my new brute and Hell my cor (i never soloed my old mastermind i always duoed with a friend, but i doubt it would be hard to solo)

I find solo'ing with hell really easy, just slower then most. With my brute, well its very fast, but stopping for end is doing my nut in, roll on stamina ¬_¬

i agree with you Voltage, it just depends on how u build them, and how good u are with playing them....that classifcation i put up is just from me, i had ALOT of fun with my stalker, my brute and my MM...(i usually just solo all the time) becuase no one wants to team up with me lol!!!!
