| 2 things I'd like to know |

|
First, and less important, when is the next double exp weekend.
Second, and more importantly, the devs were planning new power sets for heroes mainly for scapps and tanks. They had a poll, but i forgot what the sets were. If anybody remembers or knows which they picked let me know.

Psychic Melee was also in there. As well as Shield Defense, I think.

Duel blades won the offensive set, but there is a lot of support for street fighting, and Statesman has confirmed that they will get that set in the game as soon as they can get to it. Shields actually won the defensive set over willpower, but they realized how many powers and animations would have to be tweaked to make shields work and look cool, so they went with willpower as a quicker set to make. Duel blades is taking up most of the dev's time, so they couldn't do both blades and shields in the same issue. But there will be more sets coming.
Last fall there was a double xp weekend in Nov, before Thanksgiving. I'd bet there will be another one in a similar timeframe. If there is not going to be a Halloween event, it will come sooner.

If I remember correctly, which I probably don't, I voted for Density Control. Shame it didn't win, though. =[
I would have loved to evaporate a Freak, or turn the pavement beneath a Tsoo into liquid, so he sunk into it like quicksand. >=D
But I'm sure Dual Blades and Willpower will be alright.
Not a Scrapper/Tanker person myself, but I'll sure as anything be testing them anyways! =D

Why on Earth would we want Street Fighting? It would be all Smash/Lethal damage. There's ENOUGH Smash/Lethal damage on the hero side anyway. There needs to be something with other types. As I understand it, Psychic Melee is in the works, which would be outstandingly cool, since many of the powers already exist.

Because MA is to much Kung Fu -mostly kicks- and Superstrength is to much Hulk -mostly punchs.
I want some real brawler.
Batman, Spiderman, Beast, Statesman, Backalley Brawler, etc.
That's just about the looks and some roleplaying.
A good mix of punchs and kicks, to make the hero look like an allaround athlet.
And Psychic Melee as a scrapperset would result in a new wave of nerfs, because all tanks would weep, after they get pwnd in Pvp.

Dual Blades will most likely suck.
Just another set of swords.
Who cares if the teammates runs around with a broadsword or a katana anyway?
Will it be 2 seperate weapons or a twinblades weapon (Darth Maul like)?
But I m really looking forward to use Willpower.
I don't like my tank glowing like a discoball.
Just minimal animations and a lot of good autopowers.
I would really enjoy that.
I spend much time at icons, designing my costums, and no one can see them, with all my shields running.
;o)

I can't belive thy didn't include spear. I'd love valkyries spear, and I think that'd be a cool set. Hmmm, mabye I'll think of some moves for such a set. Lots of cones, and AOEs... And some nice effects (drool...) But later...
They picked duel blade? Thats really stupid sounding personally. I myself enjoy using two swords in real life, but the way they have f^cked up wepion sets so far, I have little faith in the devs. Now psycic sword whould have been cool, and I love making tanks cry (why I love my psy controller). And ball & chain sounds awsome. Proably hard to animate (and whould be better for brusiers personally (makes more sense too)). Sheild sounds too much like a cap amrica rip off to me. Energy blade and elec hammer sound nice, but whould be kinda weird (energy blade too much like the melee verson mabye (hopefully not), and elec for the blaster/def isn't that great anyway (not for me at least) so the hammer might just be a rethread (also hopefully not)). In my mind, you already can make a street fighter using either MA or SS with the fighting set, but if they did something diffrent (like dirty fighting, or grappling (I'd love to pick up and pile driver a AV)) that could work. It seems they have enoff hand to hand sets though (like they have enoff wepions sets).
Willpower? What the hell is that? That doesn't sound very super. Density also sounds sorta stupid (like a crappy kin set). Vibration whould be very odd, mabye a use on self rethread of sonic sheilds (I fingure thats what ff def set whould be).Sheild whould have nice def I bet, but mostly clicks, not toggles (whould be nice for a tank, they all are toggle head aches). Growth sounds the coolest (and mabye more offense then def like fire or dark) but whould be very hard to do for the devs, so we proably will never see it.
I cannot belive, in the name of god and all that is holy (or unholy depending on your god) that people picked the two dumbest sounding (and proably looking) sets out of lists with only 3 or so that COULD suck. Another time that humans have let me down, and that I'm ashamed to be one... sigh...
