Hello

hello everyone, i'm new to the GW section of the site, so i just wanted to say hi and that youll probably see me more around here as ive just gotten back into the game after about a year's hiatus.

also, i discovered something when i was running around the prophecies pre-burning part as my necro/(soon to be)mesmer. once i did the Mesmer test-quest, i went on to do all of the other proffesion quests, and just didnt click "i am ready to be a monk/mesmer/etc. it was very good xp, and i got to try out all of the basic powers. i was lvl 6 by the time i finished, and had most of the maps explored fully.

just a tip for when you are making a new person. :)

thanks guys! also, i was wondering if, were i to get only ONE update, factions or nightfall, what are the pros/cons/opinions of both? im leaning towards nightfall because of the whole teammate hero business, but factions is cheaper....

i hope i can (and probably will) get both eventually, but just to start.

if ur into pve, get nf.
if ur into pvp, get factions.
Doesn't matter to much though cuz sooner or later u'll get addicted and it doesn't matter how much it costs, u must have

ok, shortened up the siggy. i think i will go with nightfall first, as i am more into PvE, and i just looked up some of the Dervish's skills and the dust plus prayer stuff is pretty awesome. i have a question though, do i get more character slots with the updates because of the new professions? cuz im full up atm...

and is there a gameamp guild? i come from city of heroes and there is a supergroup for ampers there so i was just wondering.

i think factions is better for farming / titles though as the scenery and monsters are nicer , nightfall just has DoA for high level teamplay as the mission get boring and annoying, it does have better skils though.

i would say factions has given me more gameplay so far and i like pve and pvp.

I like both factions and nightfall but if I was only getting one it would be nightfall. Reason is in Nightfall you have access to heroes and they make the game much better to go through. Being able to set up you heroes the way you want for an area will make it a lot easier to get through tougher mission when people aren't readily available. Anyway take your time and enjoy prophecies

If you're into leveling in Pre check out This Guide by Gen. There is a title to be gained by getting to lvl 20 in Pre.

Go for Nightfall...Factions is cheap for a reason!!
