I have that shred on some char, but I expected a bit more than just 15k exp somehow...after 2 years...maybe the amount of exp you would have earned in those 2 years, that'll be a better reward^^

There is also another quest from her if you have a red iris flower in your invetory.
Anyway; both give nice green mesmer items:
- gwens flute (req 9 insp magic energy +12; hrt 10%; HP +30)
- Rose Focus (same stats as flute)
necromancer all the way

If you have proph, go make a pre character, get the shred, go to post, then put it in storage. Simple.

You get a shred from Gwen in pre-searing (so only Tyria born characters can get it, prophecies chapter), as a reward for having her keep you company, give her red irish flowers, a cape and a flute.
Appearantly, only Tyria born characters with the tapestry shred can access this quest, and you need to have finished a chapter with a hero before you get the quest to access the Eye of the North (don't pin me on this one, I read it on guildwiki).
With 4 Tyria born chars like I have, I need three more shreds to do this, and need to take three new chars through the whole pace of getting one, and getting into post-searing.... Well.... Got something to do I suppose untill GW2 comes out!

funny..i have all of her items on my tyrian character, but sahe didnt give me that quest at all.. do you have to have finished the game first? or get so far into the game?

You need to have finished the ebon vanguard part of the storyline

she'll take it so DON'T abandon the quest or you'll live to regret it(unless you're like me and just re-made a char to get Gwen's items =P)
