Auto Assult is official dead as of Friday. NetDevil did not go out with a wimper though, they did give some small prizes to those who stuck it out to the end left some parting words for those who watched.

Hmph, now I'll never get to use my free month I have!
As for why it shut down, I guess there weren't enough people subscribing for it to be profitable. From what I've heard, it wasn't that good of a game either.

With some of the other premier games out there and the new ones coming some of the smaller ".com" type MMOs that popped up all over the place will die out due to lack of player interest to keep the servers paid for.
They'll either have to be a well done "Cult classic" game, or one of the more developed ones like GW, WoW, CoH, etc.....
I expect to see a few more games like this finally have to shut their servers down due to low subion rates. The newer MMOs are taunting players of lesser games to go explore new realms and space.
*edit* Man, my spelling sucks today!
*edit again!* OK, not as bad as I thought. Evedently you cannot use the word Subscrip+ion because it's taking the word "s-c-r-i-p-t" out. I saw this on one of Dru's posts earlier and thought it was just some sorta typo for her too.

Awwwwww.....I had atleast 2 months free, never used em. Well, no its MMO History of bein stupid i heared
I dont play MMOs that much anymore.
