The Fat Nano
The new Fat Nano-- was made official today with its 2" 201DPI, 320×240-pixel screen. According to jobs it will be utilizing Coverflow technology, the same that the iPhone has. Apple also announced that it will have exclusive games that will ship on the phone. Also expect to see more storage for the Fat Nano, coming in 4GB for $149 USD and 8 GB for $199 USD. We will also see the tradmark rainbow selection of colors instead of skins this time around. The new Nano is super thin.The user interface has not really changed even with the new Coverflow technology being used.
The iPod Classic
Also announced today the iPod Classic also recieved an update. This iPod will also incorperate the Coverflow technology and has the same interface as the iPhone and Nano with a few updates. The new Classic looks about the same as the old regular iPod, clickwheel and all, and will be priced at $249 for the 80GB version and $360 for the 160GB version.
The iPhone touch
Last came the biggest announcement, the all new iPod touch. There have been rumors goung around for almost a year now that Apple would come out with a touch-sensitive iPod screen, basically the iPhone without the phone. Apple lovers have been craving it, iPod lovers would kill for such a thing...well now it is finally here and will be available in just a few short drool filled weeks!!!
The touch will come in 8GB and 16GB models and has the same form factor, motion sensing screen, multitouch and Coverflow technology as the iPhone, it just doesnt have the phone. Now don't all those people hacking the iPhone to use it as an iPod feel stupid? You wont have a monthly bill from AT&T for this one! The touch will also have WiFi and Safari in it.
The WiFi safari browser will support YouTube playback and other browsing as well as wireless iTunes music purchases. Just find a hotspot and go. Apple also put up a guided tour of the new touch which can be found here: http://www.apple.com/ipodtouch/guidedtour/#ordernow
Mmmm...I think I will be buying this one! No iPhone for Dru but DEFINATELY a touch!

a DS doesnt play music though :-P
This plays music, has wifi and games! Though I do hope apple does decide to rethink this not teaming up with Nintendo thing...Nintendo with apple would be awesome for phone/touch games!

I heard the touch was going 160 is it not? well dang that sucks then..was gonna buy it but heck I guess I will stick with my wimpy 80 gb

the itouch comes in 8gb and 16gb and runs at $299, $100 less than the new iPhone price.
