| Petition For Norn Fighting |

Hi
After i saw the topic about:"Pollymock, Boxing, Norn figthing tournament better with real player opponent"
(at: Topic Pollymonk,...)
I made a petition of it, i hope we get enough signs so i can send it to A-net
So i hope u guys like it, once i got like 2000+ signs ill send it :)

As I agree these should be 3 different petition threads covering the Norn Fighting, Polymock and Dwarven Boxing, I don't feel that Norn Fighting should be added to the PvP aspect of Guild Wars.
My first reason for NOT adding Norn Fighting would be because it's not really set up for it. It's actually a tournament where you fight multiple opponents one at a time until you get to Magni the Bison.
My second reason is that it is basically just going to turn into an "I'm so UBER....you can't kill me" fest. If you think about the tournament the way it is now, you can bring enough damage mitigation so that none of the opponents (until you reach Magni) can kill you, but you can't kill them either. Each of your opponents uses a variation of a popular build, but you don't know what you're going to be facing, so you have to be prepared for any of the builds the NPC's may bring and you also need to bring a build that can take down Magni...if you get there. You may be thinking to yourself..."Self, that's the same thing as if I was fighting a real player and not an NPC." In reality, it's not. You know as well as I do that people will just start bringing complete damage reduction builds to make the fight last as long as possible until their opponent finally just gives up and resigns or leaves. Is that really the type of tournament that you'd want to participate in? I know I wouldn't.
My third reason for not adding Norn Fighting is that there is already a similar aspect of PvP in Hero Battles. While it is not exactly the same, it is very similar. We've seen some of the things that have happened in Hero Battles and how people are winning/losing matches. "Rolling" comes to mind here. I don't really think that people should be partiicpating in PvP this way, but that's just me.
I think that if what people want is a One vs. One arena so that they can go "pwn some n00b", fine....make a One vs. One arena so those people have something to do. I just don't feel that you should get any reward or credit for doing it (i.e. Balthazar Faction, etc.).
On the other hand, I can really see the Dwarven Boxing and Polymock being added to PvP and being alot of fun. I'll wait until those petitions come up so that I can explain my opinions for adding those combat styles to PvP as not to hijack your thread for the Norn Fighting petition.

I like the game the way it is and if you want to fight other people then why not do a scrimmage or go to RA where you do face real people??? this is a pve game not pvp sooo..get over it!

i think they should stay as they are, with an EXTRA area on the pvp isle otherwise with dwarven boxing you have same skills same damage and same weapons... with the poly mock and norn 1v1 i thik these will be good but its not always going to be active so it might MIGHT be hard to get in sometime, but its is at a seperate area, and the ones we have are still there then... /signed

Only one which would be good is the boxing...
the fighting tournament = 1v1 ovo ...stupid...you can't possibly bering everything...
