Harassment on my VG Forums

I was just wondering how you guys/gals would handle someone harassing you on your VG forums?

I have a member that was kicked out of the group and keeps sending me nasty PMs calling me all kinds of nasty names. I have banned him but he just re-registers and comes back.

Keep in mind I haven't played the games in like 3 or 4 months and had no hand in booting him, nor have I even replied to his stupidness except once to say I didn't boot him nor am I the leader anymore. I'm sure when I log in I'll have a number of nasty tells from him as well.

So, what would you do about it? How would you handle it??

Block his global ingame for a start, as for the forums unless you think you can block his ip address (which you really dont want to, i think its illegal anyways?)

Just ignor him, he does it for a reaction dont give him one, instead of blocking him on the forums just leave and ignor him, once he gets bored he wont come back

Ugh I hate when people do that. I remember kicking someone in a mish group cause they were just sitting there and not responding, but they would still follow us mish to mish. Ofcourse, I booted him. Then his "mom" came on and started yelling at me.

I don't know what kind of forum you're using, but you could make it necessary to have Admin approval in order to create an account. This would put an end to the PMs quite readily.

I'm using guildportal. Sadly even when I ban his name it only stops him from posting. He can still PM people.

I'm just going to keep ignoring him. I won't stoop to his level. Hell has a point.

Well, first thing I would do is ask what is the problem. and if you can't settle like adults. I would just ignore him like you mentioned :)

Anyways as Lilth clearly knows I have no say in VG activities anymore, and I have explained that to him. Why you chose to sling insults is beyond me.

Let me ask you, how long has this squabble been going on, by far to long. How about we all just grow up and get along. Put whats in the past in the past, fighting never got us anywhere did it.

Ok.
1. I am that person, and as far as i know we got along. I quit the game for awhile. Then i am kicked without warning. Any message i sent to you was ignored, and from another member i am told that you believe I am going to rob the SG of all salvages, plus kick everyone from the SG, and be a trouble to all players.
I sent messages asking to handle this like adults (it's only a game and 99% of the time i solo).
If my soloing and non activity was that big of an issue. It should have been brought up.
2. I did not know you handed over leadership until after i was kicked.

See, usually bickering and hostility comes from nothing but misunderstandings and it appears that is exactly what happened...no harm, no foul. Clear and concise communication is the solution to any and all disagreements and differences.

I hope you guys are past this or can get past this and move on to a more enjoyable playing experience, and who knows...maybe another shot a being VG mates again...who knows, stranger things have been known to happen.

Anyways, I've never had a problem with you Lilth. Also I don't play anymore and I am NOT in the VG anymore either, hence me getting a little upset about PMs. You see I get an email every time someone PMs me. I stopped playing long ago, and even made an announcement AND a post on the site, so getting messages about something I don't care about is a tad annoying and I saw no need to respond to something I knew nothing about.

This is a stupid petty misunderstanding. I actually came here for advice not to bash you either. I forgot you were registered here. Either way I'd have never mentioned your name. I'm still curious how that guy knew it was you though...
