| Recommended Armor (looks) |
|
|

ok now i'm sure by now most of you have noticed that some of the armor in GW:EN is similar or VERY similar to previous sets.
These decisions are based on My opinion alone, i only judged Male sets
I really want to see a Rit Norn dyed red, plz post, i've yet to see any screen of a red set
Recommended sets::::::
Warrior - Monumental Armor (Ebon Vanguard) - i dont care what anyone says " its too similar to Elite Templar and Primeval " it is the coolest set i have ever seen for a warrior
Monk - Kurzick - This is tough, i'll go with Kurzick just regular Kurzick, its very cool looking
Mesmer - Elite Sunspear is pretty nice... gee i dont really know, u guys figure it out...
Ranger - Norn - wow... so many sets, and some good ones too, I have to say Norn, besides the face paint, i really like the look of this armor and its not too insanely ridiculous.
Necromancer - Asuran - ...this is very tough, i like most sets that cover the mouth, not a fan of scar patterns, I cant make up my mind...
Elementalist - of course, the elementalist, Ancient Elementalist armor is incredible looking i LOVE it.
Assassin - really depends on what your into, i used to like kurz, but now i'm leaning toward Imperial, nothing wrong with regular armor, however based on my criteria, I have to say Elite Canthan is pretty nice, FoW isnt bad but the money is never going to be worth it.
Ritualist - I LOVE THE NORN ARMOR DYED RED! i have yet to see a good screen of one though, please oh please post a pic.
Paragon - Asuran i suppose its a huge rip off but still i like the stomach coverage (completely covered thank lord)
Dervish - definately Monumental (Ebon Vanguard) its a cheaper alternative to an Obsidian look with changes, i like it a lot
Keep in mind these are my opinions, i want to know everyone's thoughts on their favorite sets, and again, I REALLY WANT TO SEE A SCREEN OF A RED, Ritualist NORN set

I believe it's a post on the OP's favorite armor sets?
It's rather subjective, some of the ones the OP likes I personally think are horrid, and most likely he'd feel the same way I do on some of the sets I like.
"Recommended" armor sets?
Bottom line: buy whatever you personally like.
Who cares what is popular? You paid money for your game, you should enjoy it the way you want to, even down to the armor you choose for aesthetics.

I dunno, the rit armor makes it look sorta...chubby...
I got canthan 15k on my sin and its awesome!!! But I guess that the tiny, miniscule, part of my brain thats still sane wants me to change it to luxon 15k, so thats my next set.
These are my favorites, based only on male armors too:
Warrior- I havent seen this in person, but Eagle Armor. Kurzick 15k is awesome too, it reminds me of a beetle sorta guy (thats a compliment...I think). And also, Momument, like Mortix said, is also a great lookin set.
Ranger- Canthan 15k, by far
Monk- Kurzick 15k too, by a mile
Necro- I like Evil Geeks armor, makes him sorta look like a biker x.x (no offense!)
Mesmer- Elite Sunspear, I dont got a mesmer, find them annoying, but this set looks good to me
Elementalist- Meh, i dont like ele armor in general :P but if i had to choose one itd be Ancient
Assassin- Ooh, i can expand HUGELY on this one. But i wont :P. My current favorites are Luxon 15k dyed white, FoW dyed white (but no chance im getting THAT!), my canthan 15k, Vabbian, and for EotN, if I had to choose one itd probably be Norn. Asuran, ancient, and imperial all seem to unrealistic, but then again, its just a game
Ritualist- Elite Kurzick. Period.
Paragon- FoW, looks the best of all paragon armor, and most of other classes too (but maybe not the 'sin :D)
Dervish- I'd say Primeval, the hood-over-the-eyes thing makes it look more grim reaperish, always a fan of that
Common Armor- I know, this probably isnt supposed to be ehre, but heck, why not?!For masks, I like either the bandana or mask of the mo zing. For gauntlets, chaos or dragon gauntlets.
If they made a compeletly Chaos Set, it would look AMAZING!!! Chaos set like, shiny armor, shiny mask, and shiny weapons too, it would be freaking amazing!
'Sort of' is such a harmless thing to say. Sort of. It's just a filler. Sort of - it doesn't really mean anything. But after certain things, sort of means everything. Like after 'I love you' or 'You're going to live' or 'It's a boy.'

Never seen anyone who can afford FoW complain about it. It's not about liking it, it's about 'I'm richer than you.'

Now you have. I can definately afford it, I just honestly like other sets in the game better.
To me, most FoW is just way too plain jane for the price tag...I expect a ballgown dangit.
I do like the Paragon one though.

I disagree. Unless someone literally had money to throw away, I doubt that they would buy Obsidian armor just for the sake of 'showing it off'. If you're going to spend that amount of money on an armor set, you must like how how looks in my opinion.
I myself, after seeing what GW:EN armor crafters have to offer, am contemplating whether to save for Warrior FoW - despite what other people think about it, I like how it looks, and think that if you get the armor yourself (no scams/eBay) it's a good achievement.
Just my 2 pence.

/Totally Agree
I could be wearing 15k sets for all my characters by now, but instead I tend to blow it all on stupid pointless one-time stuff and that because I love my 1.5k to much ^^
Or like that time everybody was cheering for "underdog" Australia on the WC soccer and I dyed my armor Orange to support the Netherlands.... Good times.

That's really cool of you, I tend to do that kind of stuff too. Sounds silly, but I just bought a Bandana headpiece in EotN and dyed it red which doesn't match any of the armor sets on that character. My in-game friends ask me if I'm a "Blood" (gang member) and I laugh it off. Actually, I just did it because some real life friends of mine are dealing with a loved one with AIDS, and it was on my mind at the time I bought it, so I just left it that way.
