Ok, this is my question: When you are playing your Monk character and you are henching the quests and what not, what build do you go with? Are you a smiter or are you healing your team?

Well, you can pretty much go with whatever the heck you feel like. I like prot, as I can survive without paying too much attention by just casting a couple of spells, then let the hench kill things as I read websites (I'm very lazy in pve). So generally I take a fairly generic Zealous Benediction prot build, often with a speed boost. But when bored sometimes I go smite, for fun, and to see how pathetic the dmg is.
Really in most PvE areas of GW you can get away with whatever you like, if you bring 2 other Monk hench or heroes.

In places where there is a lot of melee foes or undead foes smiter or enchantment users or lots of healers. If there are a lot of spellcasting damage dealers I run protection. If I am down a healer for some reason I run healer.

Cool, thanks for the responses. I am running healing right now and its boring. I like to be out dealing dmg...guess thats why I havent completed a single title on this character.

When I went through Prophecies, I was a Smiter Monk. When I went though Factions, Nightfall, and Eye of the North... I was general Heal. Though I just play what I feel like most of the time. :D

Everyone knows I like to yell out my build whenever I get the oppourtunity soooo...
My pve new pve smiting build
Balthazars aura
kirins wrath
symbol of wrath
caltrops
castigation signet
reversal of damage
zelots fire
defenders zeal
Yea get in a big group throw down zealots use caltrops then the first 3 if they are still attacking hit em with castigation signet then if there is a high health foe use defenders zeal on them and start attacking. While you wait for you combo to recharge spam reversal of damage.

I use a Boon-prot build with "Blessed light" as Elite.
Always good for me ;-)
But than again, it's the play style that makes your build successful...so using another palyers build might not work for you :(

I like using prot, usually as a heal monk everyone depends on you being quick. I like taking my time so I don't enjoy being heal.
I like Life Sheath so thats the elite for me. Other then that I take Shielding Hands and condition/hex remover. The rest I fill up on stuff I think would be important during the mission/adventure.

when I use my ,mk and go henchies i use me as healer and a bondedr hero and necro hero and ele hero,
My build is a full hesl/grp heal build that use the seed of life.
