So after playing through CoV for nearly 3 months, got 3 days left before I get my 3 month Vet reward, I have canceled my account. Why? Because I find the game very lacking, it's lacking in balanced PvP as well as PvE content, I got very tired of the same 3 mission maps over and over and over. I plan to invest the spare time I have now in saving up some cash, making repairs around the house, finishing building my new gaming rig and waiting for Cabal Online.
Seriously I can't wait to get the rest of the parts to go with my DFI Infinity, 2GB G. Skill DDR2 and AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ so I can play Cabal Online maxed out.
Thank you all for the help in and out of game, thank you Kerberos for the free trial that started it all, it was fun for a while and I really appreciate.

Right on bro! I quit too because CoV sucks! The game needs to be totally buffed up. It can't come close to comparing with WoW. WoW's graphics are better, game play is better, you may be stuck repeating quests and going from zone to zone, but unlike CoV you wont be stuck waiting for loading for everything lawl. I'll give it that WoW doesn't have all the character creation tools that CoV gives (thats pretty much the only good thing about the game), but in WoW you get so much more. I played CoV for a while hardly took a liking to it. But all in all WoW can overpower CoV anytime in just about anything. Well got that off my chest. Feel free to complain and disagree or even try to prove me wrong (very unlikely) ^_^

P.S. WoW has a better gaming community as well even though it does have its sour apples, but so do all games. Not saying you guys weren't all great though when I played CoV.

Well i guess everyone likes different things, but when i tried a 14 day free trial of WoW, i got so bored, an overall WoW isnt any better than CoV, they both have the same issues basically, it all depends on your computer, gameplay is the same as CoV, and so are the graphics, there is nothing better about it. And all i can say to WoW overpowering CoH/V is lol, SWG was even better than WoW, in my opinion though the graphics werent all that good, it was still fun, WoW was just plain boring, and so was Guild Wars, especially since there was a 90% chance of seeing your clone or 2 or maybe even 10, atleast in CoV your almost garenteed not to see the same exact costume unless someone copies another, and even in WoW.

Cabal looks to be greater than any other MMO out, I'm never going to pick up a copy of WoW, it's like cocaine, it's addicting as hell and it messes with your mind.
I just didn't like CoV because PlayNC is a lazy company, the Devs don't seem to care about the game in the least and the servers are pure garbage, which is more than likely PlayNC skipping out on real maintenance to pocket the money.
I'm giving all my stuff to my second in command, so sorry about that maybe next game I quit, promise you get first dibs.

Oh sniggity snaps The Sword of A Thousand Truths *sounds as if you walked into a holy temple*. But anyhoo... yeah WoW is really addicting my friends brother is probably the best example I can give. He is on it almost 24 7. Him and his friend started it when it first came out and yeah the one stopped playing but my friends bro... straight hooked on it. I can't see why anyone wouldnt though with all the instances, levels, abilities, classes, races, areas, gear, a real pvp system that doesnt completely suck and oh so much more. I was hyped up earlier when I posted my last post because I just got out of an amazing 10 wins in the arena so I did some trash talking big time and made Mzzck lawl but still yes I haven't checked out Cabal or whatever that thing is. If I ever leave WoW which I most definatly will within the next few months or so I'll buy me a 360 or PS3 get Shadowrun if I get the 360 and KH3 if I get the PS3. Shadowrun was some fun shit. CoV/H I could never go back to because I felt I was going back and forth doing the same thing in a small confined area while WoW's enviroment is a bit more open. Plus CoV/H just like completely copied every other game once they started their own auction houses. That system wasn't to great btw. Theres so much wrong with both games that I can go on about more so towards the CoV/H universe. Geeezzz I just looked back and what I typed and its like a flippin school report cept I actually did it lol. Yep enjoy, trash talk back though this wasn't really trash talk, get snackems, cheetos are yummy, Bleach is one of the best animes I ever saw lol... no scratch that s-CRY-ed is the best anime ever. Good night and bye for probably ever since I will probably forget about this tomorrow ^_^

Hey Sylus, sorry to hear about your departure. Hopefully you'll stay in touch and visit the boards. We can never say something is perminent, until we find out what's on the other side. Just remember, CoX will always be here, so maybe you can jump back in from time to time to check out the new Issues and what not.

I'll still post from time to time. But I shall not return to CoV as it has nothing to offer, the only people who see anything in it are the weak of mind and delusional. My friend also quit CoV and me and him are both planning on getting Cabal Online as soon as it hits the states.

I didn't want my first post in the Vils section to be a "rant" but after that last comment from Sylus, I feel I must reply.
To dislike a game, for whatever reason, is certainly something we are all free to do. Differences of opinions is what keeps the gaming world changing, bettering itself and making sure there is something out there to keep everyone happy (or close to happy as the case may be). I'm thankful we don't exist in a bubble where we'd all be stuck playing ET on the Atari and silently wishing for death. People who don't enjoy a game certainly should be encouraged to find something they DO like. Why pay for something you aren't enjoying? Certainly they should be allowed to explain why they don't like the game and are leaving - however, when you blanketly insult the other people who don't see the problems you do and aren't chosing to move on then you've crossed a line from a constructive discussion of why you aren't happy into something else. That last comment about the people who choose to stay in the CoH/CoV community was both asinine and juvenile and completely uncalled for.
Yes there are problems with CoH/CoV - there are problems with all games. Personally, I have yet to experience anything that made me want to leave the game. All our experiences are different however - and clearly you feel the need to move on - which is fine, but don't blindly throw insults out at others because you're mad at the game.

I must be the one Sylus is refering too...
I tried WoW with a 14 days free trial; I got so bored and frustrated with the game that I quitted after 3 days.
I don't say the game is no good; thousands are enjoying it (please don't ask me why...). But for me, it has EVERYTHING I hate and don't give a hoot in a MMO and NOTHING I like and seek in an MMO.
But that's just me.
A number of my friends left CoX to enjoy WoW. They are educated, intelligent people and I assume so are those playing with them. They just find there the fun that they seek.
Me, I found it in CoX the very minute I started creating my very first character; after 34 months of daily playing, I am still at it, with as much fun.... and I haven't experienced everything in it yet! I found there EVERYTHING I want in an MMO and NOTHING that I hate in an MMO.
So... to each his own.
And for my own little personal ranting: if we are to judge WoW through Sylus as the typical WoW player... I'm glad to be playing CoX when such a player prefers to move over to a game he declares more suited to his kind.
Makes me enjoy CoX even more.
Oh and about NcSoft being a lazy company not caring about the community and blablabla... EACH time I requested assistance, I was answered in LESS than 10 minutes (usually 4-6 min). All problems were resolved to my complete satisfaction.
Seems I was priviledged...

You should look at Hellgate: London in the meantime.
Goes live on Halloween and f2p. It boasts randomly generated 3D maps. Unlike CoV where maps are randomly selected from a pool of pre-designed maps, they are randomly generated on the spot. It was a serious pain for FSS to do and make it look good; but they did it :D

Okay, guys, Sylus made a fox paw (or something French like that). That's the reason 'Leaving Threads' are crushed on the OB's; something always goes awry in the telling. Let's just say 'adios' 'bonne chance' and 'Have Fun' to a member moving on.
Besides, I am one of those who say those things on the OB's and I didnt take offense... because I know of which I speak. Hardware and software and speed, oh my!
And with that I will do as the venerated Cuppajo would do. Lock this sucka down.
