I always wondered the same thing. It takes a skill point to craft something that gives you a skill point... gg anet :P Maybe you can craft a whole bunch of those and give them to a new character as a "gift card" type present :P

Good thought....this would have been useful back when my ranger had 0 skill points and my monk had like 150 or so.

I actually crafted a whole bunch of those to give to my sister's new baby Paragon, who wanted to buy a bunch of skills in Kamadan but had absolutely no skill points. The character was level 3 or something and she wanted to buy all the Command and Spear skills available. I have more than enough skill points so I donated a bunch to her :-)

As mentioned above transferring skills to your low level characters, I'm surprised I haven't seen them being bought and sold yet either.

My ranger bought every ranger skill so I ran a bit low on skill points when I was going for skillhunter, so happy to see I could transfer from monk
