I've never really considered Romania before, I just put it in the same category as all those countries east of germany (or: ex-soviet) that you generally (but wrongly) assume to be poor and pretty boring (I went to poland this summer and that changed my view of there aswell) but that was certainly interesting.
However, i'm sure baseball was actually derived from rounders.

This was a little too much politics and speculation to me... this is a community forum; not a place to decide whether romania is mostly hungarain or not.

I'm sorry mriswith but just because you don't know this part of history doesn't mean it is speculation. All I said was the reality and if it is better to block it/blur it/edit the truth...well, yeah, that is what happens in many places on Earth.

EDIT: plus, like you said this is a Community Forum, the Off-Topic section...so discussing the issue and expressing opinion is free and allowed even about politics...so why did you edit my post?

Simple; statements like you made lead to only 1 thing: flaming & fighting. The movie is intended to show what romania has done for the world; so whats the use of saying romania belongs to hungaria?
Opinions are fine; but expressing something that is to no good avail and which has not been so since WW1 is only asking for a flamefest.
Also the 'opinion' you stated is politics; as you are awair political issues as well as (but that is not the case in this thread) religion issues are forbidden (also stated in the forum rules) simply due to the fact that this is an international forum with different views on such things.
This movie was meant to show something; not to start a political discussion.

did you read the comments below the video on youtube? talk about flaming lol.
if you plan on visiting romania be sure to bring some kind of weapon to defend yourself. your personal safety is not guaranteed there. also most of the things you see on the video belongs to the Székely's not the romanians, dont mix them.

Indeed, I heard stories too from close friends. The long-distance trains have chains on their windows and everybody is advised to bring their own lock because at night when the train stops on a station thieves open the window and steal your belongings.
Or if you travel by car...don't travel by car because on the highways you can be robbed by "pirates". Never go on a holiday through Romania because if they see your car's trunk is full of goods then you better not stop for anything.
All our friends and relatives and colleagues travel through Serbia because although the roads are not so good there it is safer.
And this I say NOT TO CREATE a flame war, but to warn everybody because these things DID and DO happen for real in Romania!

thx to the french -.- the french part will go to Luxembourg or France, and the dutch speaking part will be maybe go to Netherland, withut another name
