1st Cav goes Insurgent

Gentlemen (and ladies);

I felt that it may be a time for a different approach. As you can see from the various threads here, including our other thread, there are a great MANY types and styles of gaming units and clans available today.

Part of my duties as the commander of my unit, is to check out the "competition" so to speak. I have spent many a day looking over sites and forums of the competitors.

So now I ask you what do YOU want? Do you want that hardcore military realism clan? One where you dedicate your entire free life to that unit and stay a PVT for 3 years? Do you want that unit that is just laid back and does whatever they feel like doing? Again, what do you want?

I can't say we are any better. We have friends in both sides of the spectrum. The 75th, 82nd, 77th, all VERY GREAT units, UaW, UFF, also great clans.

Now what is the point of all this? Simple. I would like to hit the attention of those who want the best of BOTH worlds. I have been in gaming over 18 years. I have been in the military for 5, including a year in Baghdad. With the help of the rest of my command, I believe we have found a fine mix between both. Military layout, operation, and structure, with the addition of being laid back and knowing when to have fun.

Now what do we ask of you:
Be 16 (sorry you young ones, we have to have some rules)
Be of moral character (not into cheating, bunnyhopping, racist, etc)
Be able to show your face a few times a week
Have respect for yourself and your unit mates.

We offer these game choices:
1. America's Army (currently on 2.8.2)
2. Battlefield 2 (plus all expansions and PR)
3. Project Reality (Euro Team)
4. Half Life "Insurgency"

and soon, CS:S!!!!!!!!!!


The 1st Cavalry Division is a unit that is based off of the real 1CD, Ft. Hood, TX. The same division I spent my career in the army in. I take pride in the patch as do my team mates.

Come by, see what we have to offer. If you don't find a home with us? We can find you one that you would agree more with. Either way you win. We may not have 500 servers, nor a $500/month website. But we have the basics to have fun...........which is why most of us are here. AA Server, BF2 Server, and now an Insurgency server for the Half Lift mod. What more do you really need?????
