Hi,
I just got my monk lvl 20 and now i think tht i want to make a 55hp monk But i dont know what runes,weapons,armor,skills and stuff i need :(
Can someone tell me all basic things to do 55hp monk and how much money all the runes and stuff all pays?
And where is a good place to farm,when i have only prophecies.

Buy any monk armour add radiant insiginas and 5 superior monk runed (you will need 2 of same kind) then buy -50 hp grim cesta (cities of ascalon quest reward) and 1 handed weapin (preferably sword/axe/spear with energy+5 and enchantments lasts 20% longer on it)
when u got it all your health will be 55.

just read the links posted, and it never ever makes a difference on with piece you add a rune except absortion runes

So...
I need max armor,1 smiting prayers +3 rune,1 healing prayers +3 rune,1 prot prayers +3 rune,1 divine favor +3 rune,
Totem axe and a Grim cesta ?
How much plantium are they all? (sry for asking so many questions)

OK then.....
Go to LA, buy a full set of set of armour and Radient Insignias.
Buy 1 of each superior Monk rune plus another of whichever is cheapest.
Put a Sup Smiting rune on the headpiece, put the other 4 runes on the rest of your armour.
You now have 105HP.
Get a -50HP Cesta and an onHand with +20% enchantments mod (Totem Axe normally)
Now you're good to go.

And just because this got me thinking...
Hope that helps even more. Just ignore that my armour is 60AL, I bought it in Factions before NightFall and all the insignias were introduced. AL doesn't matter for a 55 and LA armour is the cheapest set with what you need.

Instead of a totem axe or any melee weapon with +5 energy and 20% enchantments You should get a spear so you can pull and also make enemies attack you that broke off of the grouped aggro

8K? Back when you used protective bond instead of spirit, the monk runes where 25K+.
The protective bond nerf was the first "killing" of the 55 monk.

My monk hit 20 today... meh getting SoJ will be a hike and a half..
also, 10k? thats a hell of a lot.. how fast does a 55 earn cash? I mean, I don't want to set it up and get nerfed before paying it off heh...

It wont get nerfed, Find 10k then Do some Undead Farming or somthing
You can make it back in like 1.5hr

No. The first nerf of the 55 monk was it used to be, with a lvl 17 cast (you used to be able to adjust attribute points outside of town) it would cost 1 energy (instead of the current 3 at lvl 17). So you would use a prot head piece and a 20% chance of +1 and keep recasting till you achieved a lvl 17. Then use balths and essence, so that each time you got hit you would net 1 energy. After casting the prot bond, you switched to your smiting head piece and adjusted it to 16.
It also meant that you only took 2 damage instead of 5, so you need less regen. The main farming point at the time was the griffins in the crystal desert. you could run prot bond, mending, essence bond, Balths Spirit, go agro every griffin in the area. Get up, go take a nap, come back a hour later and you would still be alive, with full energy. That nerf happened over two years ago.
Since you can switch between EU and American, does this matter? Not that it ever really mattered except for the favor controlling who could go to the UW and FoW.
55 monking is like every other farm, it's about persistance and repetition. You make money over time and hope for the lucky drop that will sell for more. Without the lucky drop, you make around 1K a run, so about 6K an hour.

in ameri dis they have different prices at traders, they dont sync with eu dis

Cost me at least 100k when I made mine all those years ago, she's paid for herself 10x over tho.
If you want a cheap alternative my 401 is still viable and I still use it....but you need Factions. Same goes for Ele and Warrior builds...you need skills from other campaigns.
If you can find an SS farming buddy for UW you should be able to make the cost back in an hour, if you've rarely been to the UW ectos should drop like leaves. In fact I've not been in months so I'm gonna take my Ele there right now!

You also have to be careful of enchantment strippers with skills like Well of Profane and Strip Enchantments.
