Duncan Nerfed (slavers exile dungeon)

anet said they have ------->"fixed"<------ it :( saw this coming! :( now EVERYBODY in the group must have beaten all the other bosses so that the door opens. TAXI business = dead

for the people that don't know what i'm talking about..i'll try to explain..

this elite dungeon Slaver's Exile is the place where u find very rare gold polymock pieces, onyx gemstone+deld. armor remantn aswell as the very wanted Hierophant items (extremely awesome skins). also, u can find sephis swords and other rare items in the locked chests...

there were taxis to the last boss where the end chest and hierophant items dropped, as if one person that had killed all other bosses would enanle the other party members to skip them all and go directly to duncan.

since few days when people got there, everybody that knew about this farmed like CRAZY because it WAS ONE of the probably BEST money making spots ever... with a decent group u can clear the dungeon in about 20-30 mins. at the end of the run u get 1 deldrimor armor remnant worth about 5-9k, onys gemstone worth about 6-8k and then either a diamond, golden item (can be VERY rare), golden polymock piece (very rare, igot a mursaat ele yesterday luckily sold for 100k+20e) or a hierophant item...

taxis made up to 7k per 5 mins from only running there, people defeating duncan made about minimum around 20k up to 200k in 20-40 mins.. i made 400k in 2 days by farming duncan and then selling items dropped there...
now you can only enter duncan area if EVERYONE in the party ahs defeated the other bosses..so no more taxis...

All i can say is: thank god Anet fixed the bug to keep this dungeon the elite dungeon it was meant to be.

What is the use for an elite high-end dungeon if people can farm it like hell and render everything dropped in there into oblivion?

The fact that you made 400k in 2 days is because the items are still rare atm; give it another 2 weeks and you make 4k in 7 days because greed ruined the value of the items.

Man come on. I love to rant all over the place but this I actually don't mind.
Me and one of my guildies plus Heroes cleared 3 out of the 5 bosses in just 2 hours and we did really bad because we died a lot.
That is THREE chests if I am correct. Now tell me, which THREE other dungeon can you clear within 2 hours? None. All other dungeons take at least 1 hour if not 1.5. And for ONE chest.

I love this new regulation, this forces people to open FOUR other chests.
So hey...actually Anet forces you to get rich because those chests contain goodies!

So instead of taxi and 40 minutes now you spend 3 hours in total with a good group and get much richer because very worthy items can drop from those chests.

iv been outta GW for some time now and still need 2 get meself GW:EN b4 i start up again but i perfectly agree with anet on this, i cant stand bugs like this because those few who sell their souls to farming get unbelieveably rich and ruin the ecnomy, hence ruining the game completely. as far as im concerned i want 2 go as far as to say destroy all greenies since they were the first economy destroyer, the joy of making an excelent weapon no longer exists due to that and makes the game get boring fast imo. i played the original for a yr but since then iv only managed 2 stick around for 2-3months at a time, and in turn the reason im playing wow now and not GW :(

and on topic: everything thats easy farming sucks, it makes the game less enjoyable. so WAY TO GO :D

Man, all I can say is Dooh. I have completed Duncan three times now and I was unaware ya did not have to do the first four pre duncan areas. Frankly I think the first area, directly to the left of the entrance is the hardest, more so than Duncan, I forget the name of the two bosses there.
But anyway, I wondered why people were being taxied there. Figured if they could not even fight there then they had no chance.

The only thing that ruins the Economy is GREED. You can blame it on Greens, "what you think are nerfs" or other various thing but when what comes down to it is greed. If people would do the mission normally then rare items would be a fixed high price instead of dropping so low that the person who can't even say Duncan can get.
