| ursan lol - how to beat magni the bison |

how do we kill the ursan guy (magni the bison) after we kill first 5 guys? i have a derv, prolly the best to kill magni with his +12 hp regen, but cant. do we need special gwen skills to kill him or is posible to kill with normal old skills, and wich skills? (for a derv for ex).
i had best results i think with magni when i used shadowsong (blind) and other steal life spirit (vampirism)
and if we dont finish this quest, what we lose in the game progress? cant advance or unloock more things?
late edit - in page 2 a good tip how to win him with any proffesion in a reply made by me.

We do not need any special skills to kill him, but we need a build that works :p.
I think the build that works for most professions is just to bring alot of spirits, set them up and let them kill. :)
And you dont loose any progress or anything, just the quest reward and the quest after.

For magni -> blinding + spoil victor.
So for a derv that would be dustcloak, a enchant remover (to trigger dustcloak) and necromancer as secondary :)
EDIT: as for your question regarding unlocks; 6 wins (and thus 6 bison cups) wil enable you to get a crown.

damage > regen = win :/
id say used ebon dust aura and some necro/mesmer hero with price of faikure and stuff. empathy aswell :)

Magni is PIECE of cake.
He turns into a bear...RUN!
Just run around for 1 minute, then he turns back to his human form...and slaughter him, he is so weak!

good tips, better than wiki lol. And what crown after 6 wins? can we wear it everywhere, have a cool look or can have insignia/runes?
So after how many minutes he lose his bear form and he return to bear?

crown
U get 1 championship token everytime you beat magni (except the first time). If you get 5 tokens (6 wins total) then talk to Hagwin Ironskull and get the crown.
Bear form
It works for 60 secs and has a recharge time of 120 secs.

i've killed him with my sin,now i got the crown(but i let my ranger accept it from collector because he looks better with it. i haven't tried to kill him with ranger yet i will soon try that out). btw the crown looks nice,it shows u killed magni what for some ppl is quite hard u just need to find the correct build
with my sin i used: critical agility;unsuspecting strike;temple strike;horns of the ox;falling spider:you move like a dwarf(Knockdown+cripple also helps for combination with falling spider)blades of steel;impale
you cast the combo,make sure u got him blinded quite fast and when combo is finished you just run until it recharges
u dont need to cast entire combo again due to high energy u can just go with 'you move like a dwarf falling spider blades of steel impale' and run...because he'll get knocked down he cant attack u until you've cast blades of steel(if u use them fast enough in a row)
don't have a derv so cant help u on that, good luck anyway

i think it works the same as hero headpieces. If you for instance put an sup healing on it (if you're a monk) the +1 attribute changes to healing.
Same goes for every other attribute.

i dont think so, cuz i have a other head from a event in Shin jea and this can have a insigna and a minor healing prayers rune, for example, but dont show two time healing prayers
For the guy with the assasin, if i use a d/a with and your skills can i win? or some skills from there are late in gwen and prolly i dont have them.
So we just run when he is in bear form and then atack him? so we dont need anymore defensive skills, that is great cuz can focus on atack skills.

he isn't easy.. your best bets are life stealing and knockdowns, degen and interupts.... blinding him also works well.. i beat him once on my ele.. cant remember the build i used but it was a combo of knockdown, blind and massive amounts of damage

C'mon he is easy just wait for Bear to expire. After that he is a weak hammer warrior. Blind works best.

the event masks don't have +1 attribute on them that's y.
and u know i wish i could even fight magni....i can't get passed round 4 in the fighting tournament haha. i do fine then get owned at last minute.

a para have armor 80 and except the bad energy regeneration, he can use any other proffesion skills. And he have the advantage he can use adrenaline skills when the nergy is low. But he have a skill who give to all party energy if the life is under 80% i think.

just take prot spirit... this way his attacks wont hurt that much then and with +12 hp regen you will be fine..
as long as yous stay alive and keep attacking him you will win as he got no self-heal.
the thing i find more annoying are the tanks(mhenlo, argo and danika+sheens+brutus) and the anti-melee casters (eve,kisai and gwen)

hmm i think i may have misunderstood what you meant by two time healing.
i thought u meant that it doesn't show 2 extra att points, but i guess what u meant was it didn't show healing twice on mask.
and yes the crown has +1 2 w/e att point

Erm yeah, Crown has +1 attribute, the Festival Hats of what you speak do Not have a +1 Attribute.

So instead of allmost dying on the first hit u take how much dmg with PS. cause i dont see that working or the running around thing caue he will kill u b4 his bear form is up*off topic*teh forms were a dissapoint in my eyes why could we not change into THE form of the bear instead of just getting the skills. give us both.*Baack on topic If i go necro rit andut bring spirts would that work.

A super easy way for a ranger to kill him is to use the spirit build.

From what I've heard, a simple spirit spammer works (shadowsong blinds + that hex that makes him take 15 extra damage when hit by spirit attacks [good synthesis with agony]).

i changed the topic title because if first time was a joke and just started fight the ursan, now i see is imposible to beat him with my derv, and i know all skills and i win easy uw for example, so im wonder how u can beat him and why i cant with a avatar of balthazar and +12 hp regen...
and how u use spirits?? while u cast the spirits (verry long cast time) u are dead... ill try balthazar/life stealing from necro but i dont think i can win.
so post your tested builds plz (i hope admins wont close this long post lol), for a derv or for any proff, cuz others need too help.
