| jumping off walls/to reach higher places...? |

been watching some demos, and in rankin i see people use the planks laying against the wall to reach a higher location...i was wondering how this is done, ive been messing around with it but i cant jump all the way up onto the ledge...was wondering if anyone could help...

dodge jump from further away.
the most common error people make is dodge jumping too close.
the easiest way to learn the timing of it is to face the plank, dodge forward then jump as you approach/hit the plank.
once you've got the timing down, left/right dodge jumping it becomes easier.

double dodge onto them... when i say onto them, you can't press jump once you're on the ledge... so you have to click left-left-jump (or whatever direction) BEFORE you touch the ramp. If you're new, it'll be a little tricky. It was for me. Just click as fast as possible.

thanks for the help, after doing some testing it looks like you do not even have to dodge jump onto them you can just dodge onto them...if you just dodge like left left, and once you hit the plank if you keep pressing left left your character will run up the plank, then you can hit jump at the top if he does not reach the plank...

For me, the most consistent way to get them to work is to dodge then double jump before I even hit the plank. It gets me up there almost every time and it's the quickest way. You're pretty vulnerable while going up those things so you have to choose your spots.

One of the main reasons I hate Rankin is because I can't ever get up the fucking ramps goddammit.

If your serious about improving your game, you need to make going up those ramps 2nd nature.
