it's an old and it's hit us before...remember when all the guides & screenshots were infected? well it's that but modified for whoever has planted it.
anyone else remember this little guy:
don't worry, it's just the image but it is the image hidden in the injected frame.
first off it's only aimed at windows/ie based users:
| CODE | function detectos(){
if(navigator.useragent.indexof(\"windows nt 5.1\") != -1){
os = \"windows xp\";
}else{
if(navigator.useragent.indexof(\"windows nt 5.2\") != -1){os = \"windows 2003\";
}else{
os = \"windows 2000\";
}
}
return os;
} |
secondly it makes use of cookies to make sure you clear them out.
this seems to be a common which anyone can download and customise then throw at a forum or any other site.
the answer: get firefox!

Studies show that 92% of teens listen to rap. If you are part of the 8% that listens to real music the add this to your signature.

I used to run Firefox on my last computer, but on this one IE looks much better and I dont notice any diffrence other then that, plus norton removes the thing immediatly so its np for me. Now Firefox is my secondary browser incase IE screws up

We are aware of it, and the Devs are working hard to get rid of it. Please use Opera or FireFox until this situation is clear. Its pretty much the biggest suggestion I can give. And make sure your virus scanners are up to date.

I dont really see this as a big deal since i have my firewall, norton, and a few other things up at all times, if your nicely protected, feel free to keep using IE, IE7, or whichever IE you use
