are you guys quitting your previous mmo's to play war?

hey, just wondering if you guys are gonna be quitting your previous mmo's for war if its very good. i know i will, as it looks stunning, and gameplay is sounding uberl33thaxwtfpwnedroflcoptorbbqownage....phew, glad i got that out my system.

as for wow i never really got into it you dont see anyone until you hit lvl 40ish and is quest after quest after quest when i notice that i was playin half asleep i said screw this and cancel that one.

im waitin for wh and dark fall . i think wh will win me over tho.

I'm not quitting a MMO for Warhammer, but when I heard about some of the updates in May I ended up quitting WoW because after reading what they were going to do in almost all aspects of gameplay, it just left a bad taste in my mouth. Just Ps3ing it up until next March, when WAR and FF13 comes! Yay! Q1 08 is gonna be awesome lol.

I totally agree with you Cid, they are killing wow right now, I canceled my last accounts, my fiance still plays and I am still the SM of WOW gameamp but I am totally unhappy with blizzard right now.

im going to quite Guildwars 99% because i took time out of it i dont like the feeling of "catching up" with other players so if i start on WAR as soon as it comes out i wil be a pro ; )

beta servers are down until mid december due to a major overhaul of game mechanics, mostly combat mechanics.

Release date was changed from March 08 until Q2, so probably around May, to make up for the lost beta time. They want to polish the game.

Possibly, I currently play WoW however I'm very interested in Warhammer. If it's truly full of awesomeness then I just may quit for it...but of course I NEVER buy a game without a trial first :p.

It all dependson the game, if it becomes gear based like WoW, I will just stay with WoW as I am already leveled, but if it is truly a great game where you don't have to join a high end guild and /quitlife to get gear just in time for it to be outdated again.

Hello Everyone.
I havent really been into any big MMO's lately. Played a bit of Guild Wars for a long time just before Eye of the North was released and i found it became real repetative. I messed around with rappelz for a while but that wasn't much different. Tried the whole FPS scene but thats been hacked to shit and there's no real way to get rid of the aimbotters.
So now... im gameless.
Hopefully WAR cures my bordem

Well, I think WAR has a pretty good chance of scratching your itch if you like Guildwars and FPS.
From what I can tell, WAR has more in common with Guildwars than most people suspect. Once you look past the whole WAR-stealing-WOW-'s look since Warcraft-stole-Warhammer's-look in the 90's thing, I think WAR is going to be something that a lot of people hope GW2 might be.

You're not limited to 8 skills, but there's definitely a strong similarity in setting up and respeccing builds with ease, though no dual professions. Strong dual focus on both PvE and PvP (RVR) as well. WAR's also twitch-based to an extent, so it's not just hitting auto-follow on your foe and wait till you're moved into melee distance. "Aiming bots" are part of the game's code as you don't have to aim your fireballs as a mage, so that's a worry you don't have.

I like the idea of WAR alot, but i don't think im the first inline to get it, a few months will pass before i've got some time for a whole new thing, don't get me wrong, i play Guild Wars an hour atleast every day, but i also play +5 other games almost every day, but to allow WAR as a Temporary thing until GW2 (if that's going to be something), if not i can always revert back. I don't like mixing MMORPG's too much.

I used to play GW to, and then moved on to FPS's on the PS3 side of things (finished 4th in the most recognised European ladder for Quads(4V4) on COD4), and i believe that WAR can offer alot to gamers like ourselves, it is fast paced and fun, but also strategic, i also moved on from WoW, but found it repetitive, however, WAR has managable goals, which is great, something what other MMO's really dont have ATM.

Buy it, test it, have fun, but remember, decide for yourself!
