mondays (i.e. last night) at 9pm
And I thought it was awesome. I was pumped, but I have to watch it again because I was saving lives while it was on and only half paying attention.

last night was the first time i really sat down to watch this show. does it always jump around like that? it seems like it never stayed with one character long enough to form a plot and i kept getting lost. maybe it's just because i need to watch it more often to get a feel for it.
i recognized the cheerleader (a regen) and the japanese guy (time-traveler), but had no idea who all of the others were.
question: is the 'company' mentioned, headed by the guy that turns things into gold, good or bad? are the guys that are plotting to bring down the company good or bad?
edited to add: and journeyman, right after heroes, seems like it is going to be a great show. i did think that the journeyman's friends and family were a little too quick to think he was on drugs or crazy when he disappeared for periods of time, though.

i recommend you watch season one online or get it on dvd. there is a large casts of characters and you're going to be a bit lost if you are trying to make sense of it from the second season opener.
basically.... just too much to explain in a forum string.
and yes, i jumps all over the place like that.

this was the first week of season two. you can catch it online at heroes full episodes. it has been great, but last night didn't answer many questions that i had at the end of last season.

i was a little confused because at the end (i think this is right) of season 1 it said "chapter 1 end" and showed the sewer drain. then said "chapter 2 begin" or something like that and showed hero/hiro whatever his name is, falling onto a field with samurai warriors. but, when this season 2 started it said "chapter 1: four months later..." so i don't know whats going on? is the first episode just an update on all the characters and then they'll move on to chapter 2? oh well, only time will tell.

the company are the bad guys (hey isn't that man with the midas touch needle nose ned from ground hog day?) and the plotters are the good guys.

ya, the format is similar to "lost" where the story explores the psyche and history of its characters. The characters are introduced with apparently different story lines, but towards the end of the season, we will discover their lives are in fact all intimately linked (like the fact that claire is the daughter of nathan petreli from last season). this season is no different, with mysteries and drama that leaves me anxious for the next episode. who is that man that can see molly? what is the significane of that "s" symbol? and how in the world nathan survived the explosion?

Actually, the jumping around and following multiple plot threads is just following the basic soap opera format. This soap opera simply happens to be about Mutants. It's a damned good soap opera, too.

here's my theory for how nathan survived the explosion...
a) since he can absorb other peoples powers i think when went nuke he may have absobed the electromagnetic shockwave that occured...he would have been incredibly weak because thats alot of electricity to absorb. somehow it messed with his head which is why he can't remeber anything.
b) after the explosion he was so horrified that he might have killed his own brother that he left nyc, which during the 4 month period he may have encountered several new characters with powers and, since he has electric powers now, all these powers has caused his mind a complete memory wipe.
c) sort of the same as b except that the virus may have caused the memory wipe. if you don't know what the virus is then you go watch heroes season 2 episode 1 right now.
thats my theory for peter, i'd tell you all of them but what is the point of that.
