-mesmer knockdown artist-
-over view-
this build is everyone's nightmare. tank armor doesn't prevent your damage and spellcasters can't get a word in edgewise with all the knockdowns. if your foe gets frisky and tries to run, you can screw that right up, as well.
-the build-
illusionary weaponry(e)
siphon speed
deadly paradox
iron palm
entangling asp
feigned neutrality
heart of shadow
resurrection signet
-usage-
1. cast illusionary weaponry as you approach your target.
2. as you close in, cast siphon speed to snare your victim. no running away, now!
3. deadly paradox will keep your assassin skills fresh.
4. spam iron palm and entangling asp to deliver knockdowns and poison constantly. remember that deadly paradox will allow you to recycle them each every 10 seconds.
5. between skills, you should be delivering 38 armor-ignoring damage in heaps due to illusionary weaponry.
6. it's trite to say this, but... rinse and repeat. you can't really go wrong, unless for some reason you're trying to.
so, let's pretend that you're not trying to go wrong, but you end up getting kicked around more than you'd like. feigned neutrality cuts damage you take by about 75% and nets you +7 health regeneration for 8 seconds. generally, it shuts off if you hit with an attack or use a skill, but with illusionary weaponry up, you can wail away without ever actually \\"hitting\\" your target. hehe.
still getting your ass handed to you? failsafe: heart of shadow. you'll teleport away a bit and the next time you take a hit, you'll net 110 - x health (x = the amount of damage you take).
equip daggers for fast, focused damage, or a scythe for slow-but-spread-out damage. it doesn't matter what kind. well... actually... use a starter scythe or daggers, because being a cute smart-ass in pvp is always appreciated by teammates.
augury of death can replace heart of shadow in pvp if you're confident in your survivability and bent on killing things even faster. in pve, swap augury of death in to replace your rezz signet.

thanks alot.
i have tested it with a friend.
whom helped me come up with this build.
we test it and played it together.
it seemed to work very effectivlly in pvp.
but again thanks.

just tried this, it's pretty cool but got a couple of things. 1, energy is a pig, 10 and 15 energy skills really eat your energy pool right up, so some kind of energy management is probably going to be needed in pvp. 2, the damage output is very low without any kind of ias, according to master of damage, only getting 30-40 dps, took me 21 seconds to kill the master of damage, which is kinda slow. also you're going to have the same issues with iw as everyone else has ever had - it's not that much damage without an ias, and it can be stripped very easily, leaving you with no damage output at all.
i really like the idea, but don't think i'll be getting any glad points with it just yet.

i may make some changes and post it again later.
Oh and also.
Dont throw a zealous mod in there.
That will not help.
Because you only gain energy when you 'hit'
And with IW, you never technically 'hit' the target.

i completely agree with that, it's a nice trick!
i used to run iw quite a bit in ab when factions came out all that time ago. it was great for a while but people started using drain enchantments and other things of that ilk.
although dps is pretty good with flurry an iw build was dead as soon as iw is interrupted or stripped. if i see a rise in people using iw i just add chilblains to my build, same way i'd deal with those pesky sliver builds.
anyway, i'm gonna go cap iw on my sin and try it out.

but it needs to be primary mesmer for the damage from iw. the stats on the assassin skills don't matter.
strangely enough i tried this in ra last night for a laugh, and it is quite a lot of fun with a set of daggers, but i maintain my point that energy management is needed. not decided what yet, will look into it.
i did enjoy killing an ele blindbot with the build last night, he just kept on blinding...silly billy.
