i personally think that leaving to avoid being killed, even if it is obvious you are about to get owned, is still 'dishonourable'...or would be considered dishonourable, i would have thought.

yeah, it does look like anet definatly need to tweak this new system quite a bit. however, i'm extremely happy that something is finally being done about it, and once it's been perfected, the pvp side of the game will be a much better place, in my opinion.

i don't get why they've done it that way. what if your the only one who knows you can report?
hardly anyone in my guild read the update notes so they haven't got a clue you can do this.

i think that rule makes sense. that way one single person can't keep reporting people who aren't doing anything. and one third of a 4 person team is only 2 people guys, so as long as one other person reports the leech, you are fine. i think this is intended to punish people for abusing this new system.

yeah but 1 person makes 1 fourth (25%) that means you need 2 ppl to reach 1 third.
same goes for a 6 man team, 2 ppl = 33.333....%
apparently i taste like bread, and i am 85% mesmer 80%warrior

I have a question. Does prematurely mean you can't leave the match at all? I mean do you have to let the game warp you back to town first in order not to get points? This system looks like it needs A LOT of work to me. Perhaps once it starts working right it will be a good thing. Luckily for me I rarely pvp anymore so I don't need to work about a sketchy dishonor system.

it does say "prematurely" which, to me, sugguests if the match has already declared your team as the loosing team, then its safe to leave, some as if you win(and have to go do something). havnt tested it, but i would hope thats how anet would have designed it from the start, because people might start pvp, then after their 3rd win, have to go do something(before the next match starts).

yes, but i don't think everyone knows off this option and i think a lot of people don't like having the chance on dishonor points, so they don't report at all.
also there will be morons around talking other people in reporting others(and so they'll get dishonor points), just for the fun off screwing with them.
also i don't know what these points do and why don't we just put a ban on false reporters/leechers ?

when the duration of the dishonorable status has expired, characters on that account may once again join pvp missions.
*dishonor points will remain on the player's account for a total of 60 minutes. if further dishonor points are acquired during this period, that account is once again given the dishonorable status, though for a longer period of time.
*to clear dishonor points from an account, a player must go 60 minutes without accumulating any new dishonor points. |
