| rangers why no second weapon |

hello there wonderful ppl of gameamp i was just wondering why is there no secondary weapon for rangers and what i mean is most other clases have more than 1 set of weapons for there attributes wars have axe, sword,hammer casters have different stated weapons buy why nothing for rangers.
The reason i bring this up is im leveling my pet to get a elder and there is no weapon or thing for beast mastery.
sorry if something like this has been posted but i was to lazy to look

i know ur pet is like ur weapon but i ment like ahave a staff or fomething that is tied to beast mastery
and aswell i did say some with the more then 1 weapon thing

there are types of bow: flat; long; short; horn; recurve.
if you look at it like that rangers have a bigger arsenal than any class!
warriors have sword, axe and hammer because they have no spell casting attribute. think about a warrior & an ele side by side, the ele has fire, water, earth & air and the warrior has axe, hammer, sword & tactics.

well if u think about it all rangers would use is bows, no need for a beast master staff because they arnt druids, they are rangers. also a bow has to be two handed because can u eat cookies while shooting a bow?!?!

i think the problem is that if you make a beast master build u dont have any weapons you can use if you dont put any points in markmanship, which is strange i think

they do hace druids armour tho?
a whip would be a sweet idea but i still think that a melee staff is missing from the game. the problem would be tho that rangers would need a new attrib and skills for the new weapon.

a whip? while cool in theory, not really the most practical weapon against an armored foe. what damage could a whip do to a steel encased warrior?????
besides that, as stated before, as a beastmaster your pet is the weapon. you need a bow to sic your pet on your enemy while you stay out of melee range. a whip would bring you right in there.

since when do paras have only a spear?? :P
and you cant shoot and hold a shield at the same time, a hammer and scybthe and staff to, it's plain logic, i would like to see you shooting a bow with one hand in the rate they do...
and sword etc they are all one handed.

how about beast master gauntlets as an addition like the new gwen gloves? something big and furry or chain mailed ... kinda like stonefist gauntlets that give a bonus for bm.
i guess they could be either armour or a 2 handed weapon since if you had a whip it'd be one handed and then the offhand would be a chair....

Sure they have multiple weapon choices......bows for attacking, staves for trapping, etc.....not to mention they have like 6 different types of bows......not even warriors have that many options. I think warrior swords should have different ranges, like a long sword allows them to hit from further away than a short sword.

this is a fantasy world, you need to think out the box...i mean if your going to say what dmg would a whip do to a steel encased warrior, then what dmg would a cat do to a steel encased warrior? it doesn't have titanium fangs.
i agree with you crimson, the different swords and axes for that matter should differ acording to size, like the bows, imo they should attack faster the smaller they are, because they would be lighter, no?
but as for the rangers having a weapon for bm i happen to agree with this, it is a waste giving a bm a bow, it either takes from the atrributes to add dmg to the bow or it deals no dmg. i can't see the harm of giving bm a staff with bm req and maybe earth dmg. it would still be long distance and it would finally have a weapon that attributes to the area of expertise.

i think it would be cool to have another wep for a bm like a kind of whistle lol that would be cool:
beastmaster whistle
air dmg (whatever the max dmg for bows are)
pets +50% dmg
mwhahahhahahahahahaha *farms it*

i always wanted a walking stick (staff) for wilderness survial skills (trapping).
training wand would be nice for beast mastery.

i dont think u guys get that the pet is the weapon for beast mastery lol. u upgrade the beast mastery and the pet does more damage, not at all different from using a bow or sword or anything. besides it doesnt have a requirement :P
th pet is the weapon <----- supposed to be in caps

but an ele who casts who's skills are their weapons also get a weapon (staff/wand and offhand) linked to that attribute do they not?
