First off, Welcome to GameAmp.
The first and only question I have is What campaigns do you currently own? Most effective farming builds consist of skills that span one or two campaigns but there are only a few builds that can be used with just one campaign. Furthermore, you would have to be further along in most of the campaigns to gain access to skill trainers that offer all those skills (or unlock through Balthazar points).
The only advice I can give would be to get your warrior to level 20. At level 12, you are at a serious disadvantage and are lacking attribute points that make most farming builds work. You would need quite a few skill points in order to unlock skills for those farming builds.

It makes me sad when I see new players asking where to farm. You have taken a whole three hours to actually enjoy the game and already want to get down to the grind of being rich. I don't understand it. For farming builds, I would recommend going to our guides section and searching for W/Mo. There are tons of them, though troll farming doesn't work anymore. Your best spot is probably farming those rock guys in old ascalon on Hard Mode, which you can't do yet. To be completely honest, it is 100% pointless for you to farm before you have gotten to level 20 AND finished the prophecies campaign. With drop scaling, farming in normal mode is essentially useless. So finish up the game and then make some money in hard mode.

it sounds to me like you are very new to gw. this is a good thing. my recommendation is to play through the game the way it's meant to be played, figure out what you want to get (items, armor, etc.), then go back to areas that you've been to previously to start farming for what you want.
if you play through the game normally, you'll end up with enough money to get the things you need at the appropriate time. you'll also find better weapons as you progress through the game.
imo, there are 2 classes of items/armor in gw. the first class are the things you need. the second class are the things you want.
things you may need:
1. max damage weapon of your chosen profession
2. max level armor for your profession
3. max level offhand or shield for your profession
4. enough different skills to vary your builds depending on what you're fighting.
gw will basically provide you with many of these things as you progress through the game normally.
things you may want:
1. max damage weapon with perfect modifiers specific to your build
2. pretty armor (all max armor has the same stats, some just cost more and are prettier)
3. elite skins for weapons, armor, shields, etc.
4. every skill available for your primary and secondary professions so you can run any build you want
these things are things you can acquire after you play through the game and this is where farming comes in.
farming is something you do after playing to kill time or get gear you want. everything you need is readily available as you play through. don't rush it. have fun. it is a game after all.

+cred brynden, that's pretty much hit the nail on the head.
if this is your first character you're not really at the stage where you need to be farming. you can't really know what's out there to buy and you don't yet have access to the profitable areas.
anyway, i farmed with my warrior to help level him at certain stages through the proph campaign.
1: hulking stone ele's in old ascalon. you might be past those being worthwhile tho.
2: mino's outside the ice tooth cave (directly north of the frost gate)
3: mino's & hydras in the desert
mind you, by the time you get to the desert you should be lvl 17+ and by the time you've done the 4 missions there you'll hit lvl 20 and can get your extra attribs.
the basics are:
find something a few levels above you that mob up in nice same class groups. the above are all melee classes (except hydras which use fire magic as well) which can be found without monks or other hinderences.
i would stress tho that the fastest way to level up is to play the game. you'll get more xp from quests and missions than from what you can farm atm.
Edit:
Oh and Welcome to GameAmp!

if your after gold. i always found doing the main quest/missions to be funnest way to get gold. starting a new character and beating 1 game i usually get 20-60k depending on what i did.
if your after exp, i usually skip all low exp quests and go after 1-2k exp quests. i do of course do primary quests to continue. outside south of beacon's perch are a bunch of level 20's. also the path to drok's. if you fight monsters there and be able to kill something the monsters should give a lot more experiance then usual.
but i recommend just doing missions and primary quests.

not, from and that right? it's really not THAT hard to type and o,o and an a... it consumes like 3 seconds more and doesn't look stupid anymore...
anyway ontopic:
please don't farm, in the time i followed story line, i had 20k wich was enough to get droknars forge armor, and that is max, when i finished the campainge i started to farm money for armor! so please don't ruin your time now already, but enjoy the story line and just follow the missions, IT PAYS OFF!!
that are my 2 cents
thanks to mimori for this nice signature!
if you find big grammar faults in my posts, please pm me to tell me what i did wrong.

1k per piece of armor not including the materials for them. then the runes and insignias will vary in price depending which ones you get.

We have an armour gallery HERE on GameAmp but it doesn't show materials. For those your best bet is one of the Wiki's: Clicky!

try, 2006.
seriously, a w/mo hasn't been a decent, reliable farmer for a long time. trolls/minitaurs/griffons nowadays are not worth the effort of farming them. while there have been some useful suggestions (such as playing the game first, which is a must), the one big farmer of them all is the 55hp monk. plenty of info about it in the guides section if you ever do make a monk and need cash. gl.

If you are looking for xp as well as gold, just do primary quests and missions. the missions in prophecies give the most xp (2000 each if you get the bonus, 1000 without the bonus), but unfortunately the side quests give very little xp as a reward in addition to killing the monsters.
The quickest and best way to get to Eotn if you can spend the money is to buy nightfall, go through the missions or get a run to lion's arch, find someone to help you with the sunspears in kryta quest, and boom you get heroes and high xp reward for easy quests and missions. You will be lvl 20 in no time and ready for eotn. also since you have the heroes all the prophecies missions and areas will be much easier, and your cash flow will get better.
factions also has high xp quests, and you won't need help with the access quest at lion's arch. but you won't get heroes, and the first mission you will encounter in cantha is kinda difficult.
If you can't get nightfall or factions, then just play through missions, go back to lower level areas around ascalon/shiverpeaks and take quests, and try doing them with less than a full party. you will get more xp/drops and more share of gold with fewer henches.
and don't worry so much about farming for now. before lvl 20 there is not much you really need to spend money on. not even armor, if you can get it from collectors. just enjoy the story and playing the game :-)
oh one last thing, if you want to seriously farm then you should focus first on getting at least one character to beat the game so you have access to hard mode (much better drops).

First off, I just registered because all the people in this community seemed so helpful. I just recently purchased GW:P and EotN also. You can get to EotN when you are lvl 10! Don't make the same mistake I made with my warrior, and wait until you're 20 -- Alesia almost made me want to quit playing!
Once you hit level 10 take a look around Lion's Arch and an NPC will give you a quest for "What lies Beneath", the entry quest to EotN. This quest is EASY, especially because when you enter the expansion you are buffed to level 20 stats; its cake. Just make sure to get together a full party of henchies, because I'm not sure they'll be buffed (all my henchies were lvl 10) and they will die pretty easy. Other than that, that mission only takes about 15 minutes and afterwards you'll have 2 level 20 heroes to accompany you the rest of the game.
And a big Hello to everyone else, I'm just starting to pick up guild wars but so far its really fun :)
