i recently left world of craft after playing guild wars with all its features, i just couldn’t go back. i love the fact that you can take henchmen and get npc’s to help you get through quests and missions. i also, love the fact when in the world people can’t take your kills, camp you etc. anyways, because of these features do you guys group often with other live players and if so how often?

depends on what i'm doing. i often take hero/hench because i often have to get up in the middle of doing something. if i'm doing a highend area, i will group with real people. though i do often help people in my guild and alliance. :)

if i can group with my guildies i will always pick a guild group over henchies. if i am working on my titles and i don't know people who also want to go with me then i use henchies/heroes. i don't really play in many pug groups anymore do to the time it takes to get enough people ( and often failing when a group is made).

when i was still in a guild, i would take real players through missions or chest runs even if it were just someone else and myself.
since i've been on my own for just about a year, henching things just suits my current play style. i'm constantly doing things around the house so i dont want to bother others by calling "break" every few minutes.
another reason is that i've gotten so accustomed to playing the solo role from my last mmorpg that my interactions with other players have been restricted to trading.
i think it's been about 4 months since i've had to type anything that requires much thought into my chat box other than to check my characters age or to reply "sorry, not looking for a guild but thanks for the offer" to those people pm'ing recruitment offers.

that is also a reason why i play h/h. either my parets need something, a tv show comes on i want to watch, or it need a break. h/h will just wait there for me. this is also the reason why i have more hours logged then i should (forgetting to come back for 5 hours would really piss people off).

i always take henchies
i played through all of factions with henchies
and most of nightfall too.
i don't bother taking the time finding pug's i just hit [P] add some henchies, do the mission, and succeed :D
(i also did Unwaking Waters 4 times with only henchies ^^, because i thought it was a cool mission :D)
but in AB u can't take henchies lol :P
there i just type; Sin lfp
and within a matter of seconds i have myself a group ^^

i haven't been in a pug probably since a few months before the release of nightfall, more than a year ago. they just don't work very well, i've found. sure, sometimes you get an excellent group and it makes you feel great, but most often you get a bunch of jerks who don't know what they're doing, and it just makes you mad. i almost always use h/h, or jump in when my guild is doing something fun. that's one of the benefits of being in an active guild, though there might not be people doing stuff together all the time, there are always people talking, so even when you're with h/h, you can chat with people.

if there is guildies available i group with them, if not, i only group for missions (never quests) and only when group is easy to find.. if i have to sit at an outpost for 10 minutes typing lfg, either ill leave with heroes/hench or do the mission later (if i absolutely need human players to complete it)

i'm doing now mostly only groups because of the hm(hardmode) missions, but mostly(in other areas) i take hero hench because they are just faster and they are 100% adjustable so you can make awsome spike combos, and imo interupter heros are better then normal interupters :p faster reaction time!!
hope this helps a bit
ps: try to play with people as much as possible because 1) they are more fun then hench 2) they have brains 3) you can make them listen(sometimes, not often)
thanks to mimori for this nice signature!

Unless I'm doing something with the alliance I always h/h. There is no reason for me to sit in a town spamming lfg when I can do it much quicker and more efficiently with h/h. Also most players are obnoxious.

Usually doing quests and going town to town I go with hench/heros. I try to do missions with other people when ever possible because its different then using heros all the time.
Its fun seeing how the battle goes with this 1 unknown guy in your group. Will he pull a Leeroy Jenkins or will he be a unstoppable recarnation of evil?
Its like seeing if you will win the lottery with these random people. :D
Made for another forum I go on, Just felt the need to do something with this sig.

I Allways say "it's funner to grp with people then to hero/ hench it.You could ask my guild members If some one has somthing to do or needs to get somewhere i will allways help them. But sometimes not every one is on when I am so I bring henchmen and try with them first. The if I cant do I will wait intill some people are on ad ask for assistance.

like kanna said depends on what you are going to do. i usualy just go with npc's and henchmen or bymyself. if there is a hard mission or some asks me to help them i group up with other people. also depends on the kind of person you are.

i think i've explored both sides to this matter already.
their was a time, not so long ago, that i didn't want all that trouble just trying to get a good pug, so heroes and henchmen we're a blessing for me.
but recently, i've been taking pug's again for missions (only) and that's suiting me aswell. this also gaive me a big wake!
has any else noticed have empty some missions or outpost are, i'm getting the feeling guild wars is stretched to thin... 4 miljone abo's over all those area's...

I havent grouped since maybe hells precipice a good few months ago.
I don't really ask for PuG help at all, or in general,i'd prefere to get around it myself on my main, other missions like dasha i'd consider a runner, because im lazy and click wrong path. NF is pretty easy master of whipsers way.
