| download all the maps at the same time? |

i think i read somewhere they there is a place where you cn download all the maps at the same time, or at least alot faster. im not that great on pc's so a detailed deion (if it requires renaming some folders etc) of what it does and how to do it would be +cred =] (just got a new laptop, dont wanna mess it up by doing somethign i dont know how>.<)

download the gw client, and go into properties and as the target name, add -image(exactly how thats spelled there) at the end of it, and it will download all the maps/everything so you wont have to download anything.

or copy and paste this:
"c:\program files\guild wars\gw.exe" -image
in the target area, that shows when u right click the icon and click properties. to make it back to normal, remove the -image part

i did the -image thing, it still downloads the maps. im dling kaineng right now. is this suppost to happen.. im confused >.<

it's mostly so that u don't have to get all the updates with the maps. great thing to do after any big update. it also makes the maps seems to load faster so instead of taking 30 seconds on my computer, it takes 10

If you want you can create a copy, and take the -image off the copy so it runs the game and not the image thing, just name it like GW2 or something so you know which one will get the updates and which one plays the game.

i dont mind takeing off the -image thing, i can waifor updates :P i just didnt wanna have to wait for the maps.
how long does downloading everyhing on gw usually take? im at.. 58k more files to go (u can scroll up to where in had 82k or somethign and see how long it took because i dont remember =]) im just checking to see if its dling the right speed.

matters how often u do the -image trick. if u do it often, each time u do the -image trick it will go faster. if u don't, the updates pile up

its best if you have it setup to do it overnight, that way you can sleep peacefully while your game gets all the needed files, and when you wake up in the morning (if you have no school/job) you are ready to play!

i had to paint my room and compleatly gut out and paint my bathroom today so i figured id do it :p for a progress report: 97% done, 1750 files to go, (and it says downloading 1929.5mb of stuffs xd) almost done =d worked out perfectly =] kinda.. im done with my rom and stuff and now idk what to do t.t
