Guild Wars FTW thanks for the fun times

Hey gang,

Most of you don't know me well I used to post more than I have been lately, but I have been reading everyday.

Anyways My wife is going to be having our newest addition sometime this week and I will be MIA for quite a while and just wanted to post a semi-farewell and also to share my feelings on this great game specifically the past weekend events.

I have always had fun in this game and have been playing for 2 years. I always had the most fun helping other players especially. I used to give free Droks runs all the time (when that was the thing) and with all my freshly farmed Griffon gold I would even buy armor for some of my party members who came along for the free ride. I made a lot of permanent friends doing that and I never regretted giving away my money. I even bought a 75K set for someone who was genuinely what I pictured as a typical kid limited by parents and knowledge. He pm'ed me every day after that just to say hello and he now currently has full FOW armor and a tormented shield that he bought on his own from saving over the years :D. I also was fortunate enough to have a Fiery Flame Splitter Axe (Pre-nerf) 15% recharge that I sold for exactly 1 mil. I spent the money outfitting my closest friends in Primeval Armor when Nightfall came out. While I personally don't wear anything but 1.5K armor myself I felt that it was money well spent and I am glad to have done that.

Then I moved to PvP where I ranked up. And had a blast doing it. I wanted to include players that would otherwise have a hard time getting good teams, so I made my own teams and I have personally seen MANY MANY people get their first shiny emote. Those players are also permanent friends and message me all the time.

Which leads me to the double fame weekend. I was forming unranked teams all weekend and I personally witnessed 2 players go from 0-180 fame in my team as well as countless others get their emote that were already halfway there. It was a BLAST! I never had so much fun in HA and it was truly amazing to take a team of unranked players and get good solid wins against other good teams. I personally want to thank the spiritway players for providing us with so much fame :P because we were setup to beat them HAHA :D the only bummer of the weekend was I ended up 35 fame short for getting Rank 7 :(

Anways this post was not intended to toot my own horn but more to share my positive experiences playing the game and maybe inspire other players to try the same. I know grinding titles and accumulating gold for yourselves can be rewarding but I think you all would be missing out on the reward of friendship by not at least trying to do something positive for others (not that you haven't, just saying) I am glad that I got to end Guild Wars on such a high note and I will miss a lot of the friends I made in game, but its part of life and we have to move on.

I will still pop in from time to time but it will be very rare unfortunately.

Thanks Anet for 2 years of fun, there were low times as well but overall this game has been a really big part of my life and I enjoyed spending my free time in this virtual world :D

dude i totally agree. this weekend my guild and allience went to fow for fun. we basically cleared all of it and it was so much just to hill and have fun and not take the game so seriously. -agreed

yo another good xp for probly everyone was a while ago on this site. when we went like a full day with just a whole buncha off topic things. that was so much fun with riddles and jokes and pics.

ha is a mess these days, an unranked player can't get into a good group even if you are good pvper.

i never did anything good for random people like you but i once bought a guild hall for my guild leader.

axe is a great guy. real fun to play with and you'll be missed. i haven't really talked to you in a while :/ but when i played with you from an old alliance, it was alotta fun. gl with your newest addition soon to come and take it easy!

thats sad to hear.. im still preaty new to the comunity and the game, i usualy was greedy and practicaly never gave any away because i usualy didnt have allot of money because i didnt have allot of time to play, and school just all those other rl props...well anyway i wish u a good time, hope u enjoy it gw ftl
