would it be possible to create a whole videos forum, instead of just that one thread? i think it would at least keep them under a topic, but not stretch out an enite page from them o_o

the whole point of the videos thread is so that people can continue to share videos without cluttering the top5 with posts unrelated to guildwars. this is a guildwars fansite, afterall, so it's kind of annoying to see 5 topics about 5 different videos, none of which have anything to do with guildwars.
creating a new forum for them wouldn't solve anything, the same problem would remain.

Alby's pokechar Shop, and Belgium politics don't have anything to do with Guild wars either, but we still have them.

umm my pokechar shop does have to do w/ guildwars, have you looked inside it? im makes people guild wars charactors into pokemon, which now i see seemed to appeal to a very small amount of people so i will not post in it anymore unless people ask for one

i have indeed looked inside it. and how is this beneficial to a guild wars fansite, considering as how thats what's preventing a video forum.

Albi's thread is just one thread in the OT forum just as the video thread is. The video thread has been started to try and stop clutter on the forums. If Albino made a new thread for every picture he made we would quickly ask him to stop just has been done with the videos and sigs.
We do however have a videos' section if you would like to contribute a GW vid: Videos
Yes, a whole section just as you asked for. Links to YouTube can stay where they are, we don't need a dozen new topics a day to see the latest '#insert random country here#' number 1.

hey how do u do that thing that gives ppl a link to something but make it smaller because u typed videos and it was a link to the gw videos place on gameamp and i dont know how to make it a smaller link thanks if u dont understand my question ill try and explain it better.

no offense but seriously isnt guildwars about haveing fun and getting to know people. so seriously if we have a random post once in a while or mayb 5-6 times a day that makes someones day happier or better good?

when you make a post there are a load of buttons between the post title and the content.
to create a hyperlink click the 'http://' button. a box will pop up asking for a url (the place you want people to go), type or paste the link you want and hit ok. the next box is for the text people will see on the page...type whatever you want in there. ok and your link appears in your content text box.
if you want to make it different sizes or colours use the other buttons up the top before you add your link ie.
click:
|size||color||font| |http://|your link here|/http://| |/font||color||size|
hit the preview button to see what you've got.

sure one or two are ok but when you get so many that peoples gw relevant questions are pushed out of the public eye it gets a bit daft. people don't get responses to their gw questions, they start to think we're not a serious fan site and they go elsewhere.
this is not a site for sharing random junk mail, it's a guild wars fan site. yes some ot stuff and messing around is all part of the fun but it shouldn't overshadow the real content.
if i want to see youtube videos i'll go to youtube, if i want the latest news i'll go to cnn and if i want to read and post about gw related stuff i'll come here.
we as a community are a mixed group from weekend warriors to die hard extremists so the forums have to find a balance to suit everyone...that's no easy feat!
