not illegal you just gotta have hax.
lol, j/k you gotta enable ipod for disk use or if its already in disc use gotta expose the files by enabling show hidden files in windows's options in folder options from control panel...then you should be able to drag the songs into whereever you want to put them.

Being random is lovely! You never have to think about what you are going to say!

that's only the file name. when you re-import the songs back into itunes, it'll update the song's info with whatever you had for it.

if you want to get specific songs back on more easily do a search a word or phrase in the file (this is where you put in song/artist/album or whatever) and then make sure you have "search hidden files and folders" as well as "search subfolders" checked. then drag those in.

search google for a program called ephpod. i'm not sure if they guy still works on it, but i've used it for a while and am quite happy with it. it will read the file properties and pull the songs back with their correct naming, etc to whatever folders you want.

or use a program called copypod, wich i used and it's great, tho the demo version only gives u 100songs to copy but its easily cracked or to hack serial key.
But I don't use it anymore since I got all my music on my drive first then on ipod.
