you perform a feint attack that deals moderate damage. after this attack hits, it gives you a large bonus to accuracy and damage for a brief time. this power is the finishing move in the empower combination attack.

confront
challenges a foe to attack you. useful to pull a villain off an ally who finds himself in over his head. an accuracy check is required to taunt enemy players, but is not needed against critter targets.

vengeful slice
unleashes a series of strong attacks on your foe, dealing high lethal damage and knocking them down. this power is needed for the attack vitals combination attack.
damage: high, recharge: moderate
sweeping strike
you make a sweeping strike with your blades, hitting all foes in a cone in front of you and dealing moderate lethal damage to each foe. this power is the finishing move for the attack vitals combination attack.

one thousand cuts
unleashes a flurry of attacks on all foes in a cone in front of you, dealing moderate lethal damage to each foe hit. this power is the opening move for the sweep combination attack.

the more the odds are against you, the more determined you become. when surrounded by foes, your ability to regenerate increases greatly. additionally, your resolve and the look in your eye is enough to leave most foes shaken, so their attacks are less accurate. the first foe you engage in melee grants the highest regeneration bonus, and up to 10 foes can contribute to this effect.
recharge: slow
heightened senses
you become more aware of your environment and it's hazards while this power is activated. this will increase your defense versus environmental damage as long as it is active. your heightened senses also allow you to perceive stealthy foes and resist defense debuffs.
recharge: fast
quick recovery
you recover endurance at a faster rate than normal. this power is always on.
resurgence
should you fall in battle, you can revive yourself from the brink of death. you will revive with most of your hit points and half your endurance and be protected from xp debt for 20 seconds. additionally, for 90 seconds, your damage and accuracy will be improved, then for another 45 seconds, your damage and accuracy will be diminished.
recharge: very long
strength of will
when you activate this power, you not only become extremely resistant to most damage, but also to disorient, immobilization, hold, knockback and sleep effects. endurance recovery is also increased. strength of will costs little endurance to activate, but when it wears off you are left exhausted, and drained of almost all health and endurance.
recharge: very long

Dual Blades looks really cool, but in the heat of battle, it might be a little tricky pulling off those combo attacks.
Willpower is almost like Regen for Tanks...only with some other stuff thrown in and without the Regen "biggies". However, you have to also remember that Fast Healing and Quick Recovery are going to be MORE effective in the Willpower set as a primary than they are in the Regen set. (one would assume). So throwing in Tough with the other Willpower powers, you could be an extremely formidable force...and bonus, PSI RESISTANCE!

the big hole in willpower seems to be elemental damage though, like fire/cold/energy/negative. not a lot of protection there.

i could be wrong but to me it looks like heightened senses covers the elemental damage types. factor in the tier 1 power and it might be enough to not worry about it too much.

i'm still not sure if i should like the powersets.
dualblades with those "combos" sound more like tekken and less like coh.
and why don't we simply get a real regen-tank?
and why should a scrapper take willpower if he can take regen?

willpower looks like the new up and coming pvp fotm secondary : - d
however, im not very sure dual blades will excel in pvp. not many people i see in pvp stand stil long enough to get a couple good attacks in, so getting a combo in pvp will be tricky.

i asked why a scrapper should take willpower over regen
and you quote about willpower as a primary, which would refer to a tank.

I like the power, but I go with what popped first in my head.
You know how you make your own battle sequence/chain with your power, based on when they recharge?
This sounds like a prechewed chain.
Or maybe it will be timing.

unknown. the deions that i've listed are exactly the same as what's in the character editor.
if you were able to access the test server, but aren't in the beta, you can still get into the character creator, you just can't click "enter paragon city" and whatnot.

i think the environmental defense would just be fire and ice.
there is zero mention of energy/neg energy, which really floats my turd because they are so much worse than elemental attacks.

i think "enviromental" damage is more about aoe, cone, etc (caltrops, ignite, etc).
the teaser about "highpain tolerance" said "all types of damage", which would include elemental and eng/neg eng.

correct. everything is perfectly viewable. i just did it a little while ago to check out the sets and weapons. (no, i'm not in the beta) you can get as far as the character designer but can't click "enter paragon city/rogue isles".

As a neat little "aside". For the "Dual" power sets (Pistols and Swords). You pick the weapon and colors individually for each hand. So you don't have to have 2 Katanas. You could have a Katana and a Scimitar. Or in the case of guns, you could have a revolver and a laser sight pistol. It's cool stuff.

some of the claws are pretty badass looking. it's nice having some non-wolverine options. :) i like the one that's like 6 spikes coming out of the hands. also, with claws you get the option of right hand/left hand. so you can have different claws on each hand.
