means that something went wrong and its sorting itself. It *should* be fine... but wait for another opinion

Total level 190/200

Proud officer of the Heroic Order [ho]

You are a Mesmer: your skills are dedicated to overcoming the enemy through unusual means, mostly by disabling them.
You are a a valuable asset to any team and a dread to enemy monks and other casters.

Studies show that 92% of teens listen to rap. If you are part of the 8% that listens to real music the add this to your signature.

Everything will be fine, this happens to me a couple times a week it seems. I have yet to figure out exactly what has been happening but everything will be fine...

That happened to me only once and I dunno why. But don't worry, it's not deleting anything or so.

RE: Repairing data archive...?!

The Data Repair message you get just means that a file within your local Guild Wars database (GW.dat) is either corrupt or did not exit and write to the file correctly. It's a pain to sit through a complete repair but much faster than uninstalling/reinstalling (for those with all GW games) repeatedly.

After reading several sites regarding this particular problem, I've found out that there are numerous factors that contribute to the data repair window popping up. Some claim exiting the game a certain way can cause this problem while others have said hardware conflicts and crashes can cause data corruption. Some even say that if you exit the game while its background downloading causes repair archives messages to come up as the game is trying to write to the .dat file and exit prematurely.

I used to get this error a lot and I found that it happened more often when I exited GW by clicking the X in the top right corner. Since then I hit F12 to log out of game and that seems to have cleared up the issue for me. I've also made it a habit to perfom an image download at least once a month to make certain I have a complete .dat file.
