Grif needs info....Part 2

So I have finally achieved level 70...no need for grats....not that big of a deal....but I do need some of that oh so wise info that you WoW Ampers possess.

Im not in a guild and I cant really see myself joining one, I did that before and went to all the dungeons then all my wonderful gear go to crap when BC released. No big deal, so I'm thinking, maybe I should just PvP for gear. I don't really have time to do instances, even the small ones so this looks to be the best bet.

So with that being said, is it better to do Arena or Battleground PvP....or do both at same time? I see the gear for Arena looks better but then this leads me to my next question.

If Arena, do I need to be on a pre-formed team or will it auto team me when a battle is ready? Ala battlegrounds....I have heard or even seen people that group together to battle but I have no friends on game (boo :*( ) and don't plan to seek out a guild (at this moment). Any info you kind folks can share would be spectacular.

The Arena feature requires that you be part of an Arena team. There is a nominal sign up fee to create a team that is usually split up between the people forming it.

So, you're going to have to have some regulars you run with doing it to so that you can get points through that system for gear.

The beauty is that there are 2v2, 3v3 and 5v5 teams that you can form. So if you only have one regular bud to do this with, you can get points.

Of course you get more points for the 5v5, and it scales down for the 3v3 and 2v2.

You could start out in the BGs to get you skillz up, and finding players to Arena with can sometimes be found running in that feature. But if you have a couple regulars you run with that are interested, you can form up a team nad do the Arena.

I'm so jealous! I think the Raptors are one of the coolest mounts. I wish my friends that started playing a year before me had rolled Horde.

Anyways, everything TP (Toilet Paper? lol j/k) is right, I would try BG first tho, also you'd want to be at least decently geared before starting arena, but that's just my opinion. Good luck to you!!!

Back in the day of when I played WoW, I had my snuggly lvl 70 orc hunter (yes they are overpowered but i loved him). I PvPed A LOT, and it paid off, got every epic mount available through PvP, had full Lvl 70 HW gear, did a whole mess of arena, got my decked out gladiator armor, and through several kabillion years got my riftwalker armor. It takes a long time, but savor everything you do! PvP is extremely fun, just don't freak out when you die like many people do :)

All in All, I would say work out something that you can do both PvP and arena, both are fun, both involve death and carnage and destruction and.....Yeah >.> Arena though IMO is an accuired taste, but it yeilds great things :)

Well Arena gives you better gear. Better gear than what drops in Kara and stuff but slightly weaker than the gear in SSC. So I would pvp for some decent gear than arena your heart out for the other gear. Or gather up points and buy Gladiator set when Season 3 comes out.

Bored as snot with nothing to do. As I sit here writing this down I noticed something cool, I have no life, which just excited me so much; I jumped off my chair screaming WOOT! Then my back, legs, arms and stomach started hurting and I sat back down "Dang I need to go exercise." I finished writing this down and started surfing the web again.

Just to update, as soon as I hit 70 I began my journey to gain my flying mount....just normal one....didnt think grinding for weeks and weeks to get a faster mount was worth it. All in due time, so I did that and now I am PvPing when I have a chance. Trying to obtain weapons first then move through the various armors. I am about 75% blue currently. Im about 10% in to getting a new weapon, shouldnt take much longer...and that is casual PvP...maybe 3 to 5 over 3 nights or so. If I really hit it hard could probably have it over one weekend but thats no fun.

I have also thought more about joining a guild. Not really sure if I want to do that but maybe....still a possibility. As for doing the Arena, doubtful since you need a parternship to get the full benefit and I generally dont get around much with other players so.....will stick to norm PvP for now.

Yup, you can get tier 4, 5 and next season 6 from the arena. I fully plan on filling in my raid gear with some of the T5 stuff. The chance of my guild making it to SSC before the next expansion is slim, but we might see Gruuls(as long as SSC is after.... I forget.)

But the grind for points in Arena is soooo slow for a PvP n00b like me! to actually have a full set of T5, it will take me as long as it will the guild to start getting the T5 tokens to drop, so I see it as a great long term gaming feature for me to take advantage of. And in time..... the points will flow faster, and my hands will burn from excessive casting, and it will be good.... very good!

lol I suck at arena too. I do ok at times but overall, I suck bad. I am so much better when I mooch off of AV with 50 people fighting thinking maybe someday horde wont one shot me anymore..LOL Like that will ever happen.

But regular flying mount is enough to let you do anything and its fun! Getting a nether drake was fun for me, but it was pretty much the same thing as other flying mounts just.....well, bigger lol.
