Not really.
I've been hanging around the GW@Amp section every now and then and reading THIS thread made me realize what a great community we have here on WoW@GA. I don't recall ever having any major trouble with flaming or any things like that, well the goldspams ,yes, but you can't count those.
So, I just wanted to say how much I luv you all. You've all built a great community here. <3

Ya well, I played GW for a long time and have been a member of Amp for awhile now. I usually try to avoid the touchy-touchy peeps, when I first moved to the WoW side it was kind of scary cause Dru was calling some people noobs (those who have not had at least 1 70 and raided the world lol j/k NO BAN PLZ!!!), anyways after all, I came to realize that... I AM A NOOB!!!
Seriously, I wasn't used to it. But now seeing how it is and getting used to AmpWoW it's hard to go post on GW and not get someone offended. It seems like everything you say, some people find some way to turn it around and make it about themselves. But anyways I do agree with we do have a wonderful community here and I love you all (except the guys...)
Ps: Note the words SOME, before making any judgments.

That topic was fun, if you read to the 5th page I did finally put my 2 cents in as a network manager. CS brought up something that many were thinking over there and I am glad because sometimes it just takes someone to finally say it. So GW is going to work on lightening up the mood and we are going to work on being us!
You have to remember that GW had a major problem for a long time with flamers that caused them to be a bit hardcore, so it is not the fault of the admins over there, its just the way it ended up being. Now maybe they can loosen the reins now they got the bad apples out of there? Who knows we will see wont we.

Lol, I know about the flaming problem there and I also know that it's not the moderators fault that they have to be so strict. :P
What I'm trying to say is that WoW@GA got lucky 'cos I don't remember ever having any problems with continous flaming or people getting constantly offended. And I was here, when Dru was just a little nubcake without ANY green titles and Unky bossed people around with One Swordsman, Cyrix and Martinthewarrior. And believe it or not, at that time, Dru was like a kid on her first day at school. All non-freaky, talking smart and afraid of the big m0ds. ^^

I think I locked maybe 3 threads and banned 4 gold spammers in my time as an admin. Since I've had my hand in many online communities (WoWAmp being one of my faves), I came in already knowing you had to have an open mind. If you know me in real life, I'll curse a storm and tell a dirty joke here and there, but there is a time in a place. I decided that given the meaning of the community (WoWAmp is focused on the players and not strictly for adults), that if I wouldn't say it in front of my mom, I wouldn't post it publically here. GuildWarsAmp is a heavily traffic'ed part of the network, more so than WoW in terms of community posts, but we manage to hang on to the ones who matter, and we'll even gain a few more as time goes by, but like all real life clicks, there is going to be a jerk or six that will eventually be reformed or weeded out. It's how we roll.
With Dru driving our short bus though... There is no telling how much fun we'll have getting where we're going, which is the top of GameAmp.

actually, one of the reasons I joined WoW was so I could post here and know what I was talking about :P I love this part of the site, about os much drama as anewborn kitten. but the GW's side... thats more then Illidrama on the day the AQ gong got ninja rung...

Alot of people(includin myself) have wanted to say that, but I KNOW I would have gotten the boot (and the GW's boots are hardcore! block your IP adress and everything O.o). It had to have been someone like CS, a well known and respected poster, to say something like that and not get the swift /GAkick...
And as to my post above, This is a great community. So much, that Ive said it twice :P

Aye, I agree. I let smart people like CS do all the talking, 'cos I always manage to say it the wrong way. Like i.e. if I see a good-looking girl and I want to say "Whoa, you got beautiful eyes!", it comes out as "Let's do it in your parents bedroom, m'kay?! /moan and /Drool"... So...yeah, I let wise people do the talking. :P

I am glad you guys are happy, I aim to please...we actually I dont...im pretty mean and your still here...go figure...
The owner of the site says im supposed to say to you "im always wrong" but ya know im definately not cause ya know im dru and well youre not! He has no idea how hard ive worked to be always right!
Im glad to have all of ya and keep posting cause i love reading all of it even if i dont reply to all of them! You guys make me LoL EVERYDAY!
