Well just tried to log back into GW and it starting downloading the game all over again. I am now downloading the entire game, all 100000+ files, as if it was deleted from my PC. Even though my .dat file is still there and several gig...oh well guess I won't be playing again tonight...

How odd. Did your .dat file get renamed something else, or your folder renamed or something?

it looks like it loaded or didn't find proper gw.dat file in the folder the game is supposed to be in.
i'd advise checking the gw.dat file path and the shortcut you are using to run game. try to use the .exe file from the exact folder instead shortcut, nevertheless it's really odd. you sure you didn't do anything?

I am 100% sure I did not do anything since we left for dinner. And as far as the shortcut goes I already checked it and it is pointed into the right place. Tried the xex in the GW folder and guess what...still the same thing. Not sure why this happens and apparently nither does Anet cause they NEVER replied the last time this happend. Oh well life goes on....

Did you recently image the game? If so, check to be sure that you removed the "-image" from the properties window. Otherwise, it will download the whole thing every time you go to open it.

they also never replied my first email when i asked them some thing, if you spam they will respond... i've sent like 3 or 4 emails asking why they do not give me an answer etc and then finally i did get one and problem was solved =P
don't always give up immediatly!
they probably can't fix ur problem but can maybe tell you what went wrong and how to evade it in future...

I have a seperate shortcut for the "-image" and it only downloads the new updates when used not the intire game everytime. Thanks to everyone for there thoughts and ideas, cya later in game (after work).
