GOOD PVPER?

Alright im having trouble deciding which to pick if I plan on pvp more

shadow priest
or
rogue

any suggestions? Btw im leaning towards a rogue or shadow priest more. Plus if you have an suggestions on what race to be. Im leaning towards BE rogue are they good? And Draenei for priest. any suggestions for me?

Shadow Priests are great as long as you take into consideration that they were nerfed by 5% shadow damage in 2.1 or 2.2 a while back. They were considered overpowered along with Warlocks.

But I think they still make a good pvp toon, only problem is there is not a lot of cloth gear for a level 19 priest, a level 29 priest may do you better. (I have one myself).

Are you talking about a twink or just regular 70 PvPer? Well if twink then Rogue for sure, as for level 70 I would say they're both equally balanced.

not sure i might be a twink for awhile then work my way up to 70.

mages any good pvp? I think itd be fun to have a nice twinked out warrior but there are alot of them and im not sure how the do on pvp

I like running warriors, movement by mouse click and anticipating other teams movement is WIN. Oh wait, that's GW, where PvP is skill... not gear and just snare your guy and hit him until he dies.

That's kind of messed up Rogue, especially for someone who has played both games. I do agree with you, because I played both game, and in GW I was rank 9 in PvP, but still that's not really necessary - I'm guilty of doing the same thing one day and regret it so I can't say much and I refuse to act like some people did when I did that with no flaming or sarcasm intended.

But Xaviak I think he knows better than that, he just described it the wrong way - he probably meant that in WoW PvP better gear is a big part of it. It's all good ^_^

Ps: We love you Xaviak for being a care bear!!! =P

Actually I was just going roundabout in a way of saying that WoW PvP annoys me alot because you have to have decent gear to be any good at it.

Also, I'm not a griefer. I think Blizzard has a great game in WoW. The whole 'grind to be good' thing just bugs me enough that I stopped playing.

Yeah I do love guildwars. I don't hate WoW though.

good gear doesnt make you good at PvP in wow, nor does it make you superior to anyone else if you dont have the skills. Good skills will still prevail, back when I pvpd all the time I had green gear when i started and i won pleanty because I knew my class and knew how to play it well.

I'm one of those classic weak PvPrs with good gear. I raid a lot with my friends and am pretty good at farming so I'm pretty well epic'd out. Although I'm not completely lame some nights I can't figure out who to target first, hit the right button for a spell or even pick the right spells to use.

My gear makes it a little easier on me because if I do happen to hit the right darn button it's gonna hurt ya bad.

Workin on muh skillz though. I know the Warlock class has a lot of potential. It's easy to gage by how much people hate on us =D I know there must be quite a few Locks out there giving you guys hell. One day I'll be good enough to make you cus at the screen. But for now you have good chance of catching me off my game.

As for the OP. It's a tough call. I know how good the Rogue class is in PvP. They are hated as much as us Locks. There isn't any doubt that when they see Priest you will be primary target too. But like all aspects of the game, healing classes are hard to come by. Even as a SP you inadvertently add healing to the mix. You could probably run both of them and gear up nicely.

Well to go to with the topic here. I have a 70 mage whos ice mage. He has one purple and all blues, against all the horde who have Merciless gear which is like 4.5 Tier. I kick their butt becuase I have skill not gear, gear makes it easier, skill makes the win. So become good with your class and you will own everyone.

Bored as snot with nothing to do. As I sit here writing this down I noticed something cool, I have no life, which just excited me so much; I jumped off my chair screaming WOOT! Then my back, legs, arms and stomach started hurting and I sat back down "Dang I need to go exercise." I finished writing this down and started surfing the web again.

I'll be honest tho, gear makes a huge difference for a twink. I love going to wsg right in the middle of the heat and start pounding everyone I see, get on low hp bubble and runecloth bandage and good as new for another round, and last lay of hands =P and ANOTHER ROUND!!! lol I love my pally twink ^_^

I'd easily rank a hunter second best for PvP and i very much so love my (marksman) hunter and i do know that when it comes to PvP, my bow will fell many, as for pets, i use my trust scorpid, though many dissapprove it does have the second best pet armor in game and i like my little scorpy so meh to all those players that try and tell me which pets i can and cant have ¬_¬

I recently twinked a druid, and you have no IDEA how fun it is, almost dead pally tries to heal, BAM! warstomp, then I heal. its one of those odd things to do w/ a class, like low level survival hunters :P

Because I'm selling semi-rare weapons? Stuff that I'm not going to use? I need gold so I can buy more cap sigs - not gear, skills. People pay for rare looking stuff when in reality you can just unlock it and make a PvP char with all that stuff anyway - so no it's not really.

Just wanted to say that both those classes are very good for pvping in bg's at any stage really...if your a priest, just hang back, let other take the brunt of the attack, while u beat them down with range...also, i know some people dont really like hunters in pvp, but i used my hunter in the lvl 4x range(40-49) which is beast mastery spec, and in all the bgs ive been in with him (maybe 15 or so) ive been 1st-3rd. Beast mastery spec isnt really that good for pvp, but my pet racks up alot of dmg, and if u just hang back, letting others be the majority of the target, and just unleash range attacks, u will get alot of kills and killing blow's done as well as a ton of dmg.

This is just something ive done, and had fun with it. Bonus is that you can use your pet to try and disrupt the healers and other casters, and gear does not make a ton of difference, just make sure uve got alot of agility and stam, along with enough intel do be able to support your barrage of attacks.
