On the site it said that there is going to be a new mystery item that drops for monsters during halloween that is new this year. anyone have any ideas on what it could be? i think a special piece of armor would be quite cool :D

Pretty sure you answered your own question in the previous sentence. No one knows, otherwise it wouldn't be a mystery. And there is no way a new armor piece drops from monsters, just won't happen. However, there will most likely be a new Halloween helm.

Now, having a special armor would so rawk. But I suspect it will be a consumable, like the Chocolate Bunny or Golden Egg.

At first I was thinking it could be a new mask but by the sound of things you can get more and more of them. So most likely it will be a consumable of some kind. Ale, Sweets, something that can help in pve, who knows. Lets just hope its cool.

I'm hopping for some kind of consumable like this:
Taste of Death.
Picture of a vial with some liquid and a skull and crossbones/noxious fumes coming out the top.
Item diion:
Consuming Taste of Death temporarily turns you into a ghostly figure.
It would be like Yuletide Tonic, or Transmogrifier in that you would change into a costume, only this would let you keep your armors look and just apply like a translucent skin to your character so you could see through them like a ghost.

Remembering from last halloween, they said the same thing and I think it was a collectors item for holiday collectors in the main towns. This year I expect another candy thing.
And like usual, another new hat should be available.

Totally agree... We only get to see Mad King Thorn once a year. Wouldn't be as special if there were a bunch of minis of him running around.
The mystery item will most likely be a consumable on par with cupcakes, cloves, chocolate bunnies, etc. I'm hoping they'll be similar to Lunar Fortunes... In any case, We'll be seeing what these mystery items will be this Friday!
P.S. I still want a pirate hat :P

I highly doubt they'll bring out a appearance tonic, seeing as they are bringing out the Costume Brawl. And i hope they bring out an awesome 2 new hats or at least one good one, and maybe because GW:EN has involved in selling gloves, possibly some new halloween gloves?

i would like to see a drop consumable that would transform your char inot a mini. would give you 1 sweet tooth point etc.
all that would happen would be your char would shrink to the size of a mini. kind of like an alice in wonderland thing. that would make an amusing weekend :)
