Got a Stone/Stone tank goin and had a question...
Do you really need Taunt?
Can't you slot Mudpots with taunt enhancments to be enough?

never had a stone/stone tank, mine was SS/INVUL and w/o Taunt you can't pull stray baddies off your squishier mates, you'd have to pull the full mob with you. i really think you need Taunt for maximum tanking effect.

tank with no taunt = tank that should be deleted
you are not a tanker if you dont have it.
(note:even with mud pots you STILL need it).
I'm not a altoholic...no really i only have 1000+ toons...thats not..really...never mind.

I agree completely with robot mind, Taunt is an essential Tanker tool. Unless you plan on being a Scranker, take taunt, cause Mud Pots is pretty low on the Taunt Aura food chain.

I ran mine as a Scranker for a long time because I solo'd it, but if you plan to team a lot you really need the Taunt. The Mud Pots are not enough to hold aggro off the high DPS squishies when they are doing their job well.

OK...once again....bout to hit 50 with Stone/Stone gonna respec ...any suggestions how to slot?....wanna be able to withstand GMs and do some dmg.

Well, as a stone/stone tank, you can't have your cake and eat it too. Since your 50, all you really need to withstand GM level damage is Granite Armor (slotted with 3 def and 3 dmg res) and rooted (with 3 health).
But as you may know, Granite greatly reduces recharge so your DPS will be minimal.
