Yeah I think that's a really good idea. Now that they've got their transfer system up and running there is no reason they can't do it either. Unless the test server is counted as a different locality (i.e. America, EU and Test) which would be dumb.

I started to laugh at this, then I realized that he has a clicky at the bottom of his signature that lists all his characters...so yeah, wouldn't be hard to figure out who he was....

Actually, no. The Chosen One badge is the Villain-side version of the VIP badge. It was given out for purchasing the DVD Special Edition of City of Heroes. It was kinda the "what everyone had" around December 2004-June 2005. It's a little less seen now.

I haven't tried making a new character during a closed beta, but I do know for sure you can still copy over a character of any level. For the same reason, they will never let you transfer a toon from test to a live server. You would be able to clone your 50 over and over.

That is true, but they wanted to copy over the 'new' toons they make. It's hard to really get into it and test the power sets when you know they're going to be deleted again.
