Graphics

Hi

I just started playing heroes and i notice that there is a lot of effects used in the game, i mean effects when using a power such as spells. I played another game before and i was able to turn off all these spelleffects that flashes on the screen all the time, but i havent found such an option on heroes.
Do anyone know how to turn off (or turn down) the spelleffects such as fire, lightning and everything that is making flashes and bright lighs? Or maby its not possible?

One way to limit the effects that the powers makes is when you turn on and hit next at the bottom it will have a button to turn on safe mode. Safe mode dims down the graphics to make it run faster. Or when you are in game you can go to the menu and scroll down to options then find the video graphics section and you can turn down graphics from there.

Energized Ninja: 50 Energy/Energy Blaster
Arctic Rock: 35 Stone/Ice Tanker
Lights Eye: 16 Peacebringer
Sword of Night: 18 Katana/Regen Scrapper
Lightfire: 18 Fire/Kinetics Controller

Pinnacle:
Villain: 20 Illusion/Rad Controller

Virtue:
Darkness Star: 10 Warshade

And many others...

I don't have an answer for you but I wanted to say Welcome to the Gameamp site!

I would assume in would be under Menu | Options | Graphics.

I am sure someone else here will know what the exact sliders you should adjust for that.

Is this because your graphic card isn't the best for the game or that you just don't like the flashes and such?

My graphic card isn't the greatest, so I keep the graphic slider down to performance.

Thanks for the answers so far )
I want to turn it off or down cause i simply get dizzy and "overloaded" in my head from all flashes wich means i cant play very long.. its also because i lag a bit when 8 players cast spells and i cant see mobs or players or anything.. just a huge mass of colors and flashes :(
Where exactly in graphics options is it i change, do you know name of slider? I tried some but i dont notice any diffrence at all..
it doesnt help that im alittle of a noob on computers also :P
Will try the safemode thing and see how that works

Tweak the advanced graphics options a bit in the Menu Options screen on the Video and Sound tab. Particles are one thing that can be turned down significantly to help this out. There are other things that will make it a little more friendly to people who have issues with the flashiness.
