Anyone disappointed with the fact that Dwarves will be almost non-existent in GW2?

I have been disappointed with the fact that Dwarves will be just about extinct in GW2. I think they should keep them around and make them a playable race for the game. Ogden did not go through the transformation the other dwarves did and I hope there were others that did not do so. In addition, the Stone Summit did not go through the transformation. Please join me in advocating for our fellow dwarves.

Quite frankly, I don't care that they get killed off.
If I want to play as a midget then I'll play as an Asura. They seem cooler anyway.

How the dwarves have gotten as far as they did without a single dwarf woman in all of tyria I don't know. So they shouldn't really be there anyway.

Ive never liked dwarves since Jalis and his persistent dying in thunderhead keep (back in the day when it was hard).

They had what one woman? They would die off eventually. It's really sad as they had probably one of the most interesting storylines and the most intricate and interesting weapons in the game. Anet really shouldn't have screwed them like that...

I myself am sad that they will be almost all gone. But I am also happy that A-net is not following the traditional path of MMO's with their elves, humans and dwarves. A-net made up several different races that are both interesting and rather unique and that makes up for the fact that one of the 'stereotypical fantasy' race will be un-playable.

I look forward to playing the Sylvari and will enjoy them immensely. Thank you A-net for not falling into the pit of stereotype MMO's and making GW2 unique.
