When the mad king comes to town doe's any one else find it really annoying and irrateing when you have the children saying:

/nobhead
"i hear the mad king like boys, stay away"
and much more...!
i dont know about anyone else but this is really starting to annoy me!

Always brings the idiots out to play, events are like that :(
I hated it when people were calling those who failed on the emotes noobs, people failing was part of the fun it's a shame people couldn't see it like that.

Well mankind has sunk to the bottom with yesterdays visit duting 10 pm gmt. There were racial slurs all over the place and the level of immaturity was beyond unreal.

yep, always when there are many people together balled up in one place and you can't immediatly see who's saying what often the imature idiots rise out of the crowd with their dumb comments and remarks ~~
but what really was awesome was when me and 2 guildies were playing the simon says game in kamadan and we met this wammo that FAILED EVERY SINGLE TIME, whenever the mad king said Mad King says X then the guy didn't do it, and then the other way around lol... we invited him to the group and told him what to do but he said stfu noobs so he deserves it.. but what the actually awesome part was, is that he went with us to LA staight after into the same district as us in a choice of about 40!! and guess what...he failed miserably there aswell ~~

Unfortunately there are some who think that calling people "noobs" (and worse) is part of the fun......I find having the local chat channel switched off helps.
For the first time ever I was chosen to rock/paper/scissors duel with the Mad King....not once, but four times. My record was W 1, D 1, L 2. I really like the Halloween event, and I hope they have it again next year.

I must admit, some of the comments were really awful. I also found tho that the international districts were nice and peaceful in comparison from the euro ones. Almost no stupid comments at all.
Sadly i didnt get picked for The Mad Kings Says... Oh well, there's always next year.

Yeah , it's just some people that "think" that calling noob againts everbody is "fun". But i had yesterday a lot of fun with some guys xD. But sometimes Local chat off = FTW.

We're talking about people whose concept of "fun" is about making themselves look superior and trashtalking those they don't deem as "1337" as themselves, how on earth did you think they'd understand? ;)
All in all it was fun (the event that is) though nothing new... But it made me laugh when people were wondering about the deja-vu reference heheh.
The masks were ok, though I'm still pissed off that I missed last year's in NF, the witch hat is IMO the funkiest festival hat ever.

Yep, I AFK these events nowadays, or at a minimum turn Local, Trade and Emotes off. For one people spam so much it's hard to read stuff you actually want to, in guild and alliance etc, and secondly, the content of what they are saying is barely worth reading anyway.

Well me and my guild mates were just doing stuff like that but it was more like Person name is using a spell on mad king and stuff like that b\c it was boring doing all the games.

Yeah, to sum it up, gw has a far lower average playing age than it used to. =S My little sis's friend (11yrs) said she plays it (to my utter horror).
I mean I don't mind younger players so long as they play well and act mature.

Seeing all those people die because they fail at ''Mad King says'' is funny :P
but calling the AFK people n00bs and calling the Mad King a gay (he's an NPC -_-) is childish.

a lot of people forget this is still just a game. dont get me wrong, there is also a fantastic community in gw, which i am proud to be a part of.
but then again, take things with a pinch of salt.
people forget that this is game that involves millions of players around the world. so your bound to come across different types of people. you cant have things exclusivley for you. if its bothereing you that much you can always turn off local chat and just enjoy the event privately

Yesterday evening, 23:00 CET at LA D12 English: not a single (maybe a few) stray words. Total fun. So... I guess it depends on the time of play as well.

Still not a reason or excuse to give in to less than polite/respectful players.
It still hurts the game as a whole in the end, having to turn off communication means in social hubs isn't exactly how you build a strong community.
At least the report feature comes handy at times, though seriously, are you playing an online multiplayer game to make up for the failed education of a growing portion of the player base? I don't.

Firstly, if you get offended by words it's probably better to turn your chat filter way up and be looking at ---- all the time.
However, it can get annoying at events especially the extreme ammount of emotes going on, I haven't seen any insulting (though its not good to call the Mad King at all!!)

Personally, I don't see that as being childish. My own reaction is mostly thinking idiots with eye rolling, but sometimes you can't help but laugh at those idiots who think spamming "omfg give hat plz n00bz?!?!?!" will actually achieve anything...

Personally I find Mad King Says Fantastic :P I mean.. Its so funny too see people repeat and repeat doing the wrong commands. and are like wtf i did /jump!

My favorite part was my last time for the night, people were stupid enough to not sit in the circle and go afk so they were whining like crazy when they didnt get the hat so i went around to all of them and said here ill give you a pumpkin head and i traded them squash serums :)
everyone was laughing (except the squash heads) hehe
