I was just wondering (for those of you that have hit test) do brutes get willpower? If so do they get it to the same degree (i.e. have all the fun bits like +regen and +recovery been knocked out of it) because I've heard stalkers don't get the +recovery.

Yes, Brutes get Willpower (and Dual Blades) as well. Brutes, Stalkers, Tankers and Scrappers all get Dual Blades and Willpower (so basically all the melee AT's).
Yes, the set for Brutes, Scrappers and Tankers is completely the same (except for levels because it's a primary for Tankers and some values, Tankers get more because it's primary).
And no, the Stalker sets of Dual Blades and Willpower are different. Of course they are, because Stalkers ARE different. In the secondary set (Willpower in this case) they lose a power for their Hide. Yes, that's almost always the Endurance recovery power. So for Regeneration, they lose Quick Recovery for Hide. Willpower? Same. Stalkers do NOT have Quick Recovery, but they do have Fast Healing. Also, they lose Rise to the Challenge and get Reconstruction instead. Which I think is ace.
You might want to check out this page for information on Dual Blades or this page for information on Willpower.
Have fun.

"If you paid attention"? Have I upset you in some way Aurrius? If so I can assure you it was unintended, I merely wanted to know what the deal was with willpower. Sorry for any unintentional slight and thanks for letting me know but as it turned out I managed to get around my problem with test and see for myself.

Another quick little note about stalkers: Their Fast Healing move has been bumped down to like the 3rd to last power meaning you can get it at lvl 28 instead of 4, which is strange. So Stalker's willpower goes like this: Hide, High Pain Threshhold, Reconstruction, Mind Over Body, Indominatible Will, Heightened Senses, Fast Healing, Resurgence and Strength of Will. Everyone else who gets willpower gets it in normal order

My apologies, it turned out to be ruder than I meant it to be. You did nothing wrong, it's my mistake. Sorry.

That was really adult of you. I expected it was a mistake since you've always been so nice.
Just on a side note, I've been using a Energy Melee/Willpower brute since I11, as we all know EM gets some tremendous attacks later on in its life cycle (Total Focus and Energy Transfer) and at full fury (which is laughably easy with good old Willpower) with build up it can achieve almost 2k damage in under 2 seconds with these two moves. This seems very overpowered as the -hp from Energy Transfer simply doesn't matter with Willpower.
However people KEEP making dual blades/Willpower. Am I missing out on something? Because it seems (from mids anyway) that DB really isn't all that great, with just slightly above average damage across all moves unlike most sets where all the preliminary powers are to be respec'd out of at level 35.
((Sorry I ramble a bit so I'll reiterate - In your opinion which is best, EM or DB as far as damage goes?))

EM is definitely better for burst damage. I'm running DB for the combos and looks personally, but I've found that it has incredibly fast recharge rates when coupled with Hasten. It has the advantage of dealing more damage, faster, over a period of time. The other bonus to this is that your fury bar can go through the roof very quickly with only the most basic attacks. I'll admit that this playstlye probably won't work well in PvP zones, but it should be able to dominate in PvE and 1v1s. Unfortunately DB builds with hasten are the only builds that still have end issues even after taking QR and Stamina. I like DB, but EM has its advantages.

Acyually DBs do quite well in the PvP zones, although they dont do burst damage, which is a bummer, making it more of a 1v1 set, and it does quite well on brutes, although, willpower i find to be quite good, as for EM/WP there was a WP/EM tank in warburg, he did very well for himself, he didnt die the whole time he was in there, and killed alot of people.
