hallo its me again, a guy named the * pm me (said he worked for anet)and said he wanted me to download a demo of a new guild wars eotn expansion, he also said you cud unlock komir and runik at sart. ...im 100% sure that this is a scam what do you guys think?
and one more thing if this is true why wud they make a expansion for an expansion?

that's definitely fake. That guy is obviously stupid, he could at least say something that sounds a little bit believable.

Did you think to take a screenshot?
If so then report it to Anet via there website (not the ingame /report) and submit screeny.
This is not real as far as I know they do not just randomly PM people to test anything.

i guess this is in-game, so i'm sure this was a scam. You didn't state if his name was coloured different then a normal 'whisper'. And i'm also sure that they won't make a expansion of an expansion, i guess that's called an update, if he said it was an expension of EotN. So don't believe him, and no they wouldn't make an expension of an expension, because that will lower the price of the product and gives them less money. It's much smarter to wait a little with it, and improve some things, then sell it. This would give them so much more money.

You know I like these topics, When I am in a situation like this I play along. I use fraps plus screen shots when anything like this happens and get them in a corner so tight they dont know what to do next. I always like when I say your reported then they say "Oh we got your e-mail"(when I haven't sent it yet) I laugh so hard.

LOL..thats a huge fake...anet exployees would never interact like this through the game like that. This is just like the guy during wintersday.
Let me tell the story.
He was holding the presents while the grentches got stuck at the light house in LA everyone was reporting him for exploiting the game and ruining the fun, i PM'd him telling him hes all reported and stuff.
His responce?
Me: Yeah um...your screwing the game and your getting reported by hundreds of users ATM.
Guy: Yeah um i e-mailed anet bout this they told me to hold the presents so other playrs cant exploit the bug.
Me: ANET dosent do that.
Guy: Yeah they sent me an eMail back just email them and ask them.
HAHAHAHAHA
