Just wondering if anyone except me loves to read manga or watch animes? ^^
I've only read 2 mangas, Death Note and One Piece, both are recommended :p.
However I like animes more, for those who do not know animes are simply mangas in video style to explain short.
I've watched two animes, but only watched all episodes of 1 of them. I've watched Naruto and Death Note. (I watched all episodes of Death Note.)
My favorite overall is without a doubt Death Note, so if you can, get the anime or manga I say ^^.
So once again, anyone else likes manga/anime? And do you prefer one of them over the other?

Only watch anime. And Death Note is a very good series indeed. Also recommend Elfen Lied and Full Metal Alchemist. Also Claymore is a great series and the short but sweet KARAS is very awesome as well... Just waiting for the final episode (6) to release. :)
Hmm, Air Gear is good as well :P

I'm a huge anime fan. I can watch mainstream stuff (bleach, naruto, cartoon network stuff) but also enjoy series that aren't as well circulated. I just finished watching Claymore, Fate Stay Night, Nagasarete Airantou, and currently watching Tengen Toppa Gurren Langan.
I'm not a huge fan of manga but still read a few only because I enjoy the overall experience that the anime counter-parts have to offer. (Music, visuals, etc.)
Too many favorites to mention as I've probably seen hundreds of different series dating back to the early 90's and some before I even knew what the word anime meant.

Well i'm a big anime/manga fan, i saw all of Death Note and that was the first anime of which i thought: wow, i need this one on manga :D
soon part 5 is coming out here (holland) written in dutch, so my lil bro can read it ^^
I also watched One Piece for a while, i stopped at the desert (with that desert guy, u know :P) I thought it was a little too boring :/
Death Note kept my attention to it, so i recommend Death Note to anyone ^^
I've also watched Naruto, but got sick of it. i've watched all of DBZ but DBGT didn't caught my attention (i have 1-45 DragonBall manga) these are all i've seen as an anime...well most of them :P
I also have on DVD: Ghost in the Shell (1st and 2nd movie), Akira, Vampire Hunter D, Street Fighter II and i don't know if Final Fantasy fits the line, but heck, i also got FFVII on DVD ^^
And i'm kinda jealous on people that can draw real good Manga, a friend of mine in England won first prize on a big manga drawing contest (well forgot if it was first prize, but he made the top 3 :D)
I'm planning to get all the Death Note eps on DVD, and all the manga. And trying to get all the Dragonball manga. :D
*edit* this is not all i've watched, i also watched Elfen Lied (one of the best anime's ever ^^) and Bleach (well, got bored of it :S) i'm sure i watched much more Anime's (like green green, or love hina xD) but i forgot then :P

Yeah, I tend to watch anime. I mostly like Shonen. Stuff like Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece. I also watch Cowboy Bepop, Zoids, Yuyu Hakusho, Samurai Champloo (kicks ass) and some other stuff.
The manga I read are Naruto and Bleach.
I am currently up to date with the Japanese anime for Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece and am up to the Japanese manga for the former 2.

I'm a fan of both, though manga is a little bit more interesting to me. So far I'm up to around 160 complete series, including anime and print, so I have a few favorites :).
As for recommendations:
Gundam Wing
MS Gundam 00 (New series that just started)
Fate-Stay Night
Ghost Hunt
Zombie Loan
Blood+
BlackLagoon
Though these are just a few of the ones I would recomend, most people should find one they like in that short list. If you want anymore recommendations, just ask(Though be shure to state what style you prefer).

-Those are some of my favorites, in case you value my opinion...

i think manga/anime sucks, poorly drawn Japanese pictures about killing each other with swords and somthing about a death note when you could just call it a hit list, i guess im more of a comedy/action person and dont get into all that death, underworld stuff, hey if you want something exiting read the inferno......

You actually know there aren't only anime/manga about killing each other etc? I just leave your reply as a comment from somebody without knowledge of the topic, so why worry about it^^

4. ninja scrolls=killing
5. naruto= ive seen the commercials there killing.
6.Elfen Lied= hmm this could go both ways...killing

Just because our favorites happen to be violent is far from meaning all anime is violent. I think because mankind lusts for violence is probably why there is violent anime. If mankind wasn't violent, then we would not be apex predators as I see it, b/c Knowledge is Power!

Also, I don't know if I would consider Family Guy, or Futurama, or Aqua Teen anime, can't explain why though.

Well, titles aren't all...you should know that...
If you've never read any of those or seen the anime, how do you know what they'r about? For example Full Metal Panic, which I like pretty much...it's comedy/action, about a school girl and a boy, trying to protect her but getting her in tons of comical situations by doing so...OOOOH! how violent and evil...
I could bring up dozens of more examples, but it's just not worth it...
Following your thinking, if somebody likes action movies with killing, then all movies out there must be about killing...

Porko Roso is my FAVORITE anime of all time and it is not violent. And what about My Neighbor Totoro, another awesome anime that is not violent. Lets see more non-violent, no weapons, no fighting goodness Spirited Away, KiKis Delivery Service, Love Hina, HAMTARO!, Prince of Tennis, Hello Kitty. And Henta as a genre of anime is DEFINATELY not violent.
Also if your going to watch anime, take the time to watch it in the original japanese, sooooo much better than the english translations!
Some of my other favorites are Ghost in the Shell, anything Miyazaki, Read or Die, Animetrix, Neogenisis, robotech, Transformers, Evangelion, Pokemon, Fullmetal Achemist, trinity blood, Lain, Akira, Samurai Champloo, Escaflowne, Grave of the Fireflies, I could list forever.
:-)

Death Note has to be one of the best I've seen so far.
Among the long runners I guess One Piece is my fav (the scene where they go through their new bounties at the end of the Enies Lobby arc is just priceless lol). I don't know, there aren't that many eps that feel like a drag... If only Usopp could zip it every now and then.
The Hellsing anime was decent though I preferred the OVAs.
Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo have a distinctive style and are definitely worth watching.
I've recently gone through Nagasarete Airantou and it was pretty funny.
If you want something a bit more mature (not in the "on the edge of hentai" sense), give Mushishi a try.
I too prefer subs versions over dubs... I always find the english voices kinda off.
Oh and if you don't like japanese anime but enjoy cartoons (well even if you DO like japanese anime :) ) Avatar The Last Airbender was a pleasant surprise. It's from the US so you don't even feel bad about missing subs hehe.
Nihzu Fleshmonger - N/Me (Usually SS/echo)
Nihjin Uro - N/A (Gotta love the tag ;D)
Nihzu Goreweaver - N (Pre-Searing only)
Nihm Baalh - N/P (Spear throwing voodoo madman)
Cadavre Cannibale - N/W (Experimenting)
Hrafnulfr Tyr - R/W
Nihto Uro - A/N (Nihjin's lil bro)
Chikushou Kisama - Mo/E (R.I.P. Survivor title)
Nihdel Baalh - D/Rt (That's the plan anyway...)
Yes I curse a lot...

LOL, I know. You saw Sanji's reaction? Funny as hell.
But yeah, One Piece is crazy. Through the whole series, I've been excited to see the next episode. Even the filler arcs are pretty good and well done (mostly).
My favorite arc must've been the most recent one followed by the Arabasta one. The one with Enel...I felt like everyone he did a super jolt on should've died or something.

I've liked every anime series I've ever watched except one. They are as follows:
1.Helsing
2.Mahiromatic
3.Gundam Wing: Mobile Suit Gundam
4.Outlaw Star
5.GTO: Great Teacher Onizuka
6.Evangelion
7.Godannar
8.Final Fantasy Unlimited...I didn't like this one.
I'd recommend #1-7 to anyone who hasn't seen them. #8 was pretty boring in my opinion, but some of you might like it (and just so you know...there isn't much Final Fantasy related stuff in it other than Chocobos, Summons, and two guys who have really big swords).
